So some of you know I bought a hay box a couple months ago.  It has three holes in it so the buns can get their heads in and get hay…The only problem is…They can actually get INSIDE the hay box and use the bathroom in it.  I loved that hay box but now it’s become a pain in the you know what!  Does any one have any suggestions for hay boxes that are fairly clean (as clean as a hay box can be lol) and something my bunnies can’t get into and pee?  I do pile hay in their litter box too but I like to have two sources of hay.

DO you have any NIC grids at home. If so you could cut one down to fit diagonally into the box so it makes the hay slide down to the holes. I saw someone do that once and the bunnies couldn’t fit in then. Worth a shot. let me know if you need me to re phrase that!.. I have a hay box! I could post a pic later if you want me to.

hmmm I do have NIC grids and I am getting more tonight to block off under my bed. I could definitely try that, thanks!

I would love to see your hay box! =)

I actually just pile the hay inside the litter box, in the front. My bunny only ever “uses” the back corner to do her business, so the hay rarely gets soiled.
