It’s just under two weeks until I take Athena and Persephone up for their spay operation but I’m not quite sure if I should give them the same aftercare that Ash had post surgery. They’re 15 week old bonded litter mates who still groom and cuddle each other with no signs of aggression or fighting, they’ll be going to the vets in the same carrier but should I bring them home the same way and keep them together while they’re healing?

I weighed them yesterday, Athena’s 1kg (2.2lbs) and Persephone’s 1.3kg (2.8lbs), so they’re not big bunnies and should travel contently in the same kitty sized carrier. Anyone got any tips?

Yes, don’t separate them before, during or after (unless you see any aggression which I cannot imagine you would).

I didn’t seperate Maple and Potamus after theirs. (Mother/Daughter)
They each chose a quiet spot away from each other to recover.
One *might* take it out on another if feeling discomfort but it shouldn’t escalate. They’d be feeling low key. That’s all I saw. Just a “leave me alone” half hearted nip.

Thanks for the advice Sarita and Jerseygirl, I’m keeping a close eye on the girls and checking for any signs of fighting but there’s none yet and hope it stays that way. I’ve had 3 sibling pairs of kitties before but never bunnies so this is all new to me, I also have to remind myself that these girls aren’t like Ash and while she loved getting picked up and cuddled these two don’t really like human contact.
