So I am in LOVE with this bunny that my bunny lady posted.  She helps run the rescue I adopted my bunnies from. He is soooooooo cute!  I have room for another bunny….I just don’t think I can have another one.  lol  I wouldn’t bond him with my two because I’ve heard that’s very difficult bonding trios.  I could always try it though.  But he is the most gorgeous bunny I have ever seen!  (besides my two I already have of course!)  I don’t know if it would be the best idea adopting another bunny.  I would have to think long and hard about it.  I just wanted to show how CUTE he is!

If I was standing I would have fallen over-what a CUTE bunny!! He is so unique looking! Is his name Rorschach?

If you don’t get him, put him under my Christmas tree ok? I’ve been good all year and I want a spotted bunny! Squee!!

LOL, his name is Hopper! He is only about 6 months old!

Here is what information I got on him…
” Hopper is about 6 months old. He will be a big boy. He’s already over 6 lbs. so I’m guessing he’ll be 8 lbs. or more when he’s “all growed up” He is super affectionate and just loves attention. He sits and stares at me when I’m cleaning and just waits for me to turn around and pet him. He flopped and let someone rub his tummy tonight. Really a cool bunny. Still working on perfecting his litter box habits, but he has only been neutered for a couple weeks, so it’ll keep getting better. You should come meet him

This would be an awesome Christmas if I could adopt him. Three bunnies! I would be in HEAVEN! hahahaha

Just means more work and money but that’s okay, I think I can handle it. =P

EDIT:  EEEPPP!!!  So I talked to my dad and he said he doesn’t mind having another bunny in the house! =D  omg!  I am so excited.  lol  Now I have to meet the bun bun.  Dunno when though.

Hehe, I know a Hopper, but he’s not a bunny. That’s cute though.

I think he’s adorable and definitely think you should get him if you think he will fit in with your bun family.

He would be housed in the condo by himself and my bonded buns would have an x-pen since they seem to be in there most of the time anyways. I don’t think I would try and bond him with my other two bunnies though. In the future I would like to have two sets of bonded buns.

I am going to make sure Val and Rascal can’t get to Hopper. They will be in the same room so I will have to make some adjustments to the room. I am probably going to meet Hopper next Friday if he’s still there. This is exciting, the only time I’ve ever had a really young bunny was when I was really young. Sadly that bunny died really young because the vet was an idiot. I know Hopper isn’t THAT young but he is to me. lol

If you haven’t had the pleasure of dealing with vet bills, I would hold off. I have easily spent about 4000 USD on medical expenses for two rabbits in the past year. A rabbit becomes extremely pricey when they start getting very ill. I would recommend approaching this decision more slowly. Impulse and emotion need to be checked by rational thinking and critical analysis. I would spend much more than two weeks thinking about it before making such a large commitment.

I’ve dealt with vet bills before, not bunny vet bills but dog and cat. I know bunnies can be more expensive but I am willing to put my funds toward vet bills if I have to. I take good care of my bunnies but I do understand illnesses come along unexpectedly and sometimes at the worst times. I’m not worried about having to take the bunnies to the vet if needed and having their yearly exams as well. All pets are pricey when they get sick but I know rabbits can be more so. I spent nearly $3000 on my dog last year who eventually passed away. I love my rabbits and will do anything for them. Another addition to my bunny family wouldn’t be a problem to my vet expenses or any other expenses.

It’s good that vet bills won’t be a problem for you. I still think it would be a good idea to take things a little more slowly. A rabbit can be a 10 year commitment. I don’t think this kind of decision should be made in only a couple weeks. You can do whatever you want, but that’s my take.

                              He’s a looker for sure!
If you are bringing home, I’d recommend after a couple more weeks have past since neutering. He might still smell like an intact rabbit to your pair which has potential of causing havoc. Not always but it can with some.

If everyone at home is in agreement and you know you can afford another then I say Congratulations : ). If there is any doubt though, consider fostering him until you know for sure.

I decided it would be in the best interest of Rascal and Valentine that I not adopt another bunny at this point. They have a lot of space now and if I adopted another bunny it would take away from their space that they are already used to. As much as I would love to have another bunny I just think I probably should wait until I have more space. Another thing is, the point Jerseygirl brought up about the hormones of the younger bun I would not want to cause havoc between my two buns. So hopefully Hopper gets a great home, which I am sure he will. =)

Kudos. It’s a hard thing to do.

I’m sure you are right, I think he would get snapped up quickly too. Maybe you’ll even get to
                                  meet the adopters…
With fosters I had this year, I found it a little easier to part with them when I’d met the people.
