My 4-months old, 2.5lb holland lop has recently been introduced to veggies. I’ve been giving him just shy of a cup of veggies a day. The problem is, ever since I’ve started giving him veggies, he’s stopped eating hay. I mean he’ll munch on a strand every now and then but for the most part, he is really not eating much hay. He used to eat about a handful (which isn’t very much… definitely not the 70% of diet as suggested by the House Rabbit Society) but now I don’t even have to refill his hay rack every day. I know some people say that I should cut back on his pellets but when I went to the vet he was very adamant that I give him unlimited pellets until he gets a little older. I’ve tried giving him timothy hay, meadow grass, botanical hay, and putting some of the hay topper that I bought from binkybunny… He won’t eat it!! What should I do? Thanks!!
