  Ok i fibbed…cant really be mean and take pics of poor Hip as he’s a tad cranky and sore. Neuter went great. Hes home and resting but not amused at the drs order that he has to stay quiet today and not roam all over. Question…should i take out his shavings/litter and just use newspaper until the wound is healed? he isnt really drinking yet but i got him to eat a bit of wet parsley and some wet grass..

  Glad the neuter went well!! Don’t worry-they forgive you eventually
  I wouldn’t worry about what type of litter so long as it’s clean so you can observe to ensure he’s pooping and peeing (and eating and drinking!) and also it’s good to keep it clean to prevent infection
  Boys bounce back quickly-I’m sure you’ll have your spunky boy back soon

  Awwww, yay for Hippy! Healing vibes post-neuter! I’m sure he’ll be back to his little self shortly also! My buns all jumped back pretty quickly!

  What a week! stayed home weds to keep an eye on him, he dabbled at some food, but wasnt drinking so i wet some vegs for him. Had to work Thursday for a few hours but he was still munching on wet vegs so i wasnt too worried. Vet called daily for updates so when i told him that he still wasnt drinking thurs night he told me to take away everything but water, hay and pellets. dont know if it was that or me giving him his old water bowl (been drinking out of a bowl for months) that he started to drink. Hes still swollen on the one side and a tad swollen on the other so im to keep an eye out. other then that he’s hopping and grooming but man is he CRANKY., been digging and being naughty all week

  so we took him back to the vets on tues as he was still swollen on the one side a bit. turns out he has some scar tissue that’s caused aggravation. now that the swelling is down he looks and feels lots better. he will always have some scar tissue so his little non-testes will look lopsided but he’s perfect otherwise
