hi!
my rabbit (Millie) is 8 months old and was spayed about 3 weeks ago. the op went very well and she is healing great! Shes almost completely back to normal,
the only part of her not back to normal is her behaviour towards me and the rest of the family. she used to run up to everyone as they entered the room to greet them and then would run back to whatever she was doing, she would also come up to us for affection and to have her nose rubbed or to be stroked. Millie also would run around me in circles and follow me everywhere! She would also let me pick her up with no hassle.
I understand that a lot of the behaviour was due to hormones, but there has been a drastic change since she has been spayed. She is normally let out in the living room for 3 hours minimum per day and is interacted with a lot by the family. I just want to know if she will ever be affectionate again by even coming over and sitting with anyone etc and if theres anything i can do to promote affectionate behaviour
. She isnt food motivated at allllll and everytime she does wonder close to anyone she always gets a couple rubs on the nose which she loves for about 5 seconds then wonders off again
any help would be greatly appreciated!
