  I am a newbie! I have been visiting this website pretty often and really love it. I finally decided to join officially.
  
  I have a question! This has been bugging me for a very long time now and would love some advice from you guys.
  
  I have two buns. Oreo is super duper loving, Thumper not so much, which is fine! I love them both dearly and i realize that every bunny has its own personality just as we do They were pretty well bonded. But lately have been fighting a lot lately, to the point that there is fur being pulled out. I always find chunks of it everywhere and it is always poor Oreos! It is Thumper who is causing all the trouble! She is always becoming very problematic as she bites on the cage constantly all night, shes always bugging Oreo and always doing naughty things.
  
  I don’t want to give up on her at all, because I do really love her and Oreo and her have always been together, so i am afraid of separating them. But now my dad wants me to give away Thumper since they do not get along. I don’t really want to, but now i am feeling like i should. But i am really worried about the fact that Oreo might get sad and lonely. I have heard that sometimes bunnies pass away when their bunnypal goes away.. i dont wantt that to happen!
  
  PLEASE HELP ME figure this out !! i am very stressed out with this.

  Hello Drawflover, welcome to BB! while I can’t offer much advice on the topic because I have not experienced it, I do know that it can happen that rabbits stop getting along. Is there a way that you can split their cage in half so that they each have their own space?
  
  As for FIXING the problem, you may want to check you the thread “The Tale of Bunjamin Franklin”, as FrankieFlash has recently been bonding his bunny with another. It is sometimes possible to rebond rabbits, you would need to separate them and then rebond them in neutral territory. Someone who has been through something like this could give you more information, but I just wanted to let you know that it’s not a lost cause! You have some options to explore before having to give up one of your babies.
  
  Is Oreo a female as well? And are they spayed/neutered?

  Could you separate them temporarily and start rebonding them? Are they both spayed/neutered (if not it might be hormones)? My two started fighting once and I had to keep them apart for a few weeks, then it took about 2 days to rebond them cause they missed each other and they haven’t been a problem since.

  Before we go any further: are your buns fixed? Because this sounds like hormones going into overdrive and one bun trying to assert themselves as the dominant bun. Bunny society is hierarchical, so one is normally above the others.

  yes they are spayed..well just got spayed very recently.
  hmm my dad is just fed up with Thumper now because she is so bad and disruptive. He wants to give her away.

  Recently as in how recently? It takes a month for hormones to calm down after a spay and until then they can flare up worse than before the spay.

  It can take up to 3 or even 4 months for the hormones to completely settle down, like Sticker said. I would part them for a few days. And then slowly reintroduce. Often after getting fixed bunnies need to be rebonded

  It is normal for bunnies that seemed “bonded” as babies to start displaying aggression as they get older, even after being spayed. But as long as they’re spayed, you can work at re-bonding them. In the bonding portion of the forum there are some great tips on how to approach this – don’t be disappointed, it can still work!
