It’s a device sort of like a pacemaker in a way. It has leads that go into the epidural space of my spine and a battery/computer thing under my skin on my rear end. It sends electric impulses to my brain to counteract the pain signals my nerves are shooting off randomly and constantly. This manifests as a constant tingling sensation. I have a little remote thing that I use to turn the intensity up or down.
Sounds like major surgery, but it was just outpatient. I was off work all last week although I could’ve probably went back on Friday. As some of you know, I was so bored last week. I kind of posted on facebook while under the influence of percoset.
So obviously this gizmo is working. I am feeling pain from mainly the procedure. sometimes I get the other “normal” pain, but then I just shift or turn up the intesity and I tingle and the pain goes away. LOL
I stayed Sunday and Monday night with my mom. Monday was the procedure. Came back late Tuesday afternoon. So Lolli had Grandpa taking care of her. Uhhh…..she was not impressed with me. My dad took care of her just fine. Just not like I do. Plus I left her, (strike one), she didn’t get as many treats and lettuce one night, (strike 2) and…………….I SMELLED WEIRD (STRIKE THREE). I suppose it’s the same as one bunny coming home smelling different after a vet visit. LOL She finally forgave me on Thursday night by nose bumping me several times and letting me give her kisses and nose pets.
