FrankieFlash – Thanks! That boy loves his hay…not kidding when I say he waits every morning and night for us to fill that bag..not sure how many bunnies beg for hay and prefer it to salad ??? He’s also super picky with treats…I can’t say the same for Oreo!! It took me months to get him to try a blueberry and now he loves them.

LPT – Thanks!! He just started exploring the couch…but he’s very hesitant about everything the first time…That night I kept catching him peeking up at me like that! And yes get your camera out…I love seeing your adorable bunnies!!

I was in the bathroom a few days ago, and when I opened the door, this little one was on top of my bed, looking for the bag of papaya I left on my bed! I quickly grabbed my phone and said “KOUCHA!!!!!!” She looked up and gave me this look of “I WAS NOT LOOKING FOR THE PAPAYA THAT YOU LEFT ON YOUR BED!”

Bunjamin did that. Made me freak out though because I didn’t want him to get his foot stuck and break it. Plus bunjamin has sensitive hocks so we try to watch that and bars aren’t going to help that.

BUT. Those captions and pictures are sooo cute!

I couldn’t stop Peter and Penelope from doing that so I simply gave up and put some sisal fiber mat on top where they jump up.
It’s now one of their favourite hangouts and they don’t walk on the bars on rest of the cage at all.  Why bother when the spot I made is so comfy!
I also added a cardboard pipe from the top of the cage and down (one of those with sandpaper bottom so they don’t slip) and they love it.

@Kyrre I understand that, that is How Chipmunk hurt his toe, but he is doing fine now.

just thought I would show hazel and chipmunk off today, both doing well after their neuter yesterday.

Bosse is too cute!   I love how fluffy he is.  There’s a bun that fingers crossed will still be available at the Shelter in a few months that looks similar to your Bosse that I want Skipper to become friends with.

I finally got around to resizing some of my own pics to share: 

Here are some of a baby cottontail. I took these yesterday when s/he emerged from the nest for the first time! There were two babies, but I couldn’t get a pic with them together. Their mama made a nest for them right next to our house, in our wormwood plant. DH found it when he was watering the plants. There was a chipmunk running around at the same time when these pics were snapped, and the bunnies are only a tiny bit bigger than the chipmunk.

I took the silliest picture of Peppy the other day, had to share…

Roberta- I only give perfectly ripe banana to my buns. Nicely yellow. I worry about gas when it’s too green or ripe. I’m sure they would gobble up any banana I give them though.

I was trying to work out what was slightly odd about the cartoon Chacha. It’s all the extra teeth!

I think I’ve mentioned that Blu is obsessed with his hay……  DH found him like this after giving him a fresh bag..

DH is in charge of fresh hay and litterboxes at night..I go to bed first… anyhow, Blu was making a racket like I’ve never heard before (so I wasn’t sleeping…).  Turns out DH says he was throwing his dinner plate all over the place and didn’t settle down until he gave him fresh hay.  He definitely has a way of getting our attention when he wants something!

We had a Lionhead for a few days who was 2 with our little 4-month old (at the time) bun and it was HYSTERICAL. We called the Lionhead the old grouchy bunny and our little rascal was always trying to chase him around and the big one was like GET. AWAY. FROM. ME. BEFORE. I. EAT. YOUR. RUGRAT. FACE. It was tooo funny. It was just how I imagined your two being, hahaha.

Chacha bun is just too cute! I had gone to the pet store yesterday with the BF for some litter. They had a bun there wither ChaCha’s coloring but was a rex mix. It was such a cute little thing and it made me think of ChaCha.

Skipper’s mama…I agree, I still don’t know what to do with him and his mess!! I clean up everything in his pen and within minutes it’s back to how he likes it…hay EVERYWHERE. and he eats it off the floor, and everywhere. Oreo on the other hand is so much neater, she is like the polar opposite of him at times. I think he likes rolling in it and just being a goofball. We love it I just hate the mess

I shared this pic in Oreo’s birthday post…but I wanted to share again.  Queen of the family room..  Except she’s so strange, she likes to go up there when we’re sitting on the floor with her…when we’re up there she rarely goes up and stays up.

Before I faint from cuteness overload, I have to add how incredibly cute Peepi’s little open mouth is in those first 2 pics. Bosse has found his new favorite spot to hang out – on top of the cardboard box that I have stored on top of his cage. I put the fleece on top of it when I was cleaning his cage and forgot to put it back (he doesn’t really seem to even care about it, never lays on it in his cage), but after I put it up there, he seems to really enjoy sitting on it. So I think that i might make him a seat up there, out of NIC cubes (finally got a hold of them!), so I can use the cardboard box for making him a play house

Roscoe “helping” me – I just made my rabbit fence in the living room higher because he is like Ninja Bunny and was climbing over it – and I ran out of time and hadn’t clipped the tails off my zip ties – Roscoe was nice enough to snip them off for me and throw them on the floor.  No worries – he doesn’t chew them, just snips them off and literally throws them down, it’s hilarious to watch….

I’ve been more of a lurker lately

Lots of changes around here, actually. Peepi’s gone blind because of cataracts. Other than getting lost in the living room once and running into things occasionally, he’s doing ok. Warri’s developed spondylosis (spiny growths on the vertebrae) and he has a hard time moving around, so he get’s acupuncture which I think helps a bit with the pain. A few months ago Warri started having seizures several times a week, but thankfully we’ve gotten those under control now. It’s been almost a month since his last seizure. 

Vibes for {{{Peepi and Warri}}} What age are they now? I basically go “Peeeeepiiii!” “Warrrrrriii!” when ever I see their pics. Awesome photos always.

Wow! My list of bunnies to steal is extremely long. I need a mansion (and an income to match) so I can go through with all the snatching I gotta do! Bunjamin, Peepi, Blu, Wilbur, Chipmunk and Hazel, Penelope, Cinnabun, ChaCha, Rascal, Belle, the Tans, Tofu and Yetti… The list goes on… Ha, ha. I want them ALL!!!!

I have ben pondering if this was at all possible, and tonight I decided to try.
I’m both supporting Penelope which is not all that comfy due to Peter taking up the best spot in my lap, and holding the camera to take a picture of em.

Peter is relaxing but Penelope is wondering what I am up to, and deeply sceptical.  Both got to flip over and get a treat afterwards though so they were happy to stay in the couch with me. It’s obvious though that humans need 3 legs if we are to support two bunnies in one lap. Umm, one and a half lap?

jerseygirl, they’re 7.5 years old. i recently got a new camera and have taken hundreds and hundreds of pictures of them since, so you can expect more pictures of them more often

Wolfie’s gotten so big.

Blue has a BIG appitiete. he gets about 2 servings of Greens a day about 1 cup each, he shares 1 cup of pellets with baby and they get lots of hay. and a few rasins and treats here and there. he does drink a LOT of water too. I usually half to fill his water dish twice a day.

by the way I saw this and just had to laugh!!! it is so dang true LOL!!

The funny thing is Babbity knows shes adorable and uses her cuteness for evil! she has my boyfriend and i wrapped around her tiny little paw!!

Wow Blue is so much bigger than my Blu!!  And I think Oreo could eat that much and she’s nowhere near Blue’s size!

Babbity is 10 weeks old today

I SWEAAAAARRR — whenever I go a couple days without being on BB, I come back and just DIE from all the bunny cuteness.  So many furry little babies, my boyfriend and I went through all the photos on here last night and basically just couldn’t stop *head exploding* as FF would say. 

We want a Flemmie SOOOOO bad do bullrider, we pretty much want to steal Blue.  Like serious BUNNAP.  He loves his color!   

All the little guys on here are pretty much driving me insane with overload.

If by fun you mean TOTALL Brascals…. then YES! Hahahah. They are all at their bratty little teenage bun ages so they are a handful but a riot to play with none the less! They told me to tell you thanks for the wonderful compliments!

Elizabeth: teenager “years” are when the bunny is between 4-8 months old and their hormones take over and the go…well crazy is the best word I can come up with. They are territorial and can be hostile and nip more often. They will also being to mount things, sometimes including you. That is when you know it’s time for spaying/neutring.

Mine were neutered/spayed two months ago… and have yet to grow out of it. They’re all handfuls and a half a piece.

@tanlover I found that it took 3-4 months for Tait to calm down post neuter. Right away after the neuter, stuff like peeing and destruction stopped, but his crazy energy didn’t abait for quite awhile

Yes! hahahah. Mine have gone out of control and there’s 3 of them… so they teach each other HORRIBLE habits — none of which they had when they were mega-little. (We got them at 3 months and they are now 7.)

Elizabeth: yes. They also like to “mark” their territory by spraying (this might include you) and lose their litter box training, but it typically comes right back after they are fixed, though it can take about 2 months in some cases for their hormones to settle down.

My bunnies were spayed/neutered years ago and they can still be “hormonal” but nothing like before..  It’s sort of every once in a while, but Blu is still like a baby…see below

Another day, same MESS!  He’s hilarious, but I seriously can’t take his antics sometimes haha.  I know I posted a similar one already, but I’m pretty sure this one takes the cake.  Then DH has to clean him up and he seems to want to be…he’s so needy of attention sometimes!

I just got a new one with Belle !  As you can tell from her face she wasn’t too pleased about it haha but she’s sooo cute!  I gave her some romaine lettuce to apologise but she managed to scratch my hand to bits first !  She’s actually not that annoyed at me, she gave me kisses and everything haha!

Hi! Just wanted to pop in here with a couple of updated photos of Bosse and his new existance as an onlybun. He is very happy, and seems to be recovering very well from the loss of his brother.

Seing that he now is an onlybun, he has been a lot more contact seeking to me and to us, and we have bonded beautifully. We will be finding him a plush rabbit soon also, we just have to find the right one.

and he is now a 24/7 free range rabbit! (mostly because – to everyones surprise – Bosse is quite the escape artist, so I just decided to get rid of the pen untill I finish his NIC cage )

Yeti is also out all day long… even if im at work and he’s home alone.. hes not allowed in out bedroom because he hides under our bed so i put up a baby gate… but for some reason i dont trust him at night while we’re sleeping so he goes in to his condo at bedtime. maybe i should give him a shot at being out over night considering im gone to work for so long without being home during the day. hmmm hmmm. how does Bosse do overnight?

Bosse does great overnight. I often have sleepless nights, so I will peep in at him from time to time, and I think I have figured out his routine: from 24:00, he likes to munch a little before he goes and chills out on the fire place (which is not in use!) because he likes the chilled tiles/bricks. Then at around 3/4 am, he eats some more, chills out besides the couch before he starts roaming around. Usually he zooms a little back and forth on the couch, and plays around in the living room. He doesn’t go where he’s not supposed to, and he seems a lot happier The only bad thing he does is ripping out threads from the carpet, but only 1 or 2 threads a night, (he isn’t doing it as often as he used to, he knows he isn’t allowed, and I give him chew toys to distract him), so it isn’t visible. Hope this was of some help, and please update us if you decide to try it out!

Oh and he has immaculate litter habits. If he didn’t, I don’t think I would let him be free range 24/7. Or I would perhaps get another litterbox and have it out in the livingroom in the area that he “hangs out” the most in.

I wish I could get mine to be that good on their litter habits.

I was sooo lucky with Bosse. It was like he was just automatically litter trained by himself. I hardly had to do anything, just put a litterbox in the corner and that was where he went from then on. Ofc there is the occational stray/territorial poop, but only in his “area” which is covered by a puzzle mat outside his cage -Never in the living room, not one single poop since we moved here! I’m so lucky haha!

Babs just passed out in my lap!!! I almost died from how darn cute it was!!

Svandis – I wish I could let my little girl out 24/7! I only half trust her haha. I leave her out all day (only in my room) & I can be in the living room for a couple hours, check back on her & she’s perfectly fine. Or if I’m going to the store just around the corner really quick, I don’t bother putting her away. It’s only at night & when I’m out at work that I put her up. Only because she’s known to find ways onto my bed & use it as a potty! lol.

This morning, I decided to have fun & throw her veggies all over, & then put some seeds on the floor so my bird, Kramer, could join

Foo must be so comfortable around you! If I tried to touch Belle when she was flopped she’d give me the bunny but and a few feet flicks as she ran away haha!

Baby does that to us. She rearly ever wants to be touched, and it really frusterates my wife. but bunnies each have their own personalities.

Wow, Mimzy is soo pretty! And I just noticed we’ve been bunmoms about the same about of time, I’ve been a bunmom since June 18

I also wish I could let my buns free-roam!  Ugh — but I can barely handle them when they’re out for playtime with keeping them out of stuff (and their bunny playtime area is bunny proofed) so I would most definitely wake up with the whole house tore apart.   I don’t even get how they can cause this much trouble in a BUNNY PROOFED room but they can… If it not them trying to tear the carpet up, it’s them trying to pull things off shelves and if it’s not them trying to pull things off shelves, it’s them attempting to jump on top of their cage and over the Great Wall of Bun we have set up to separate their play area and if its not that then it’s them bumping the cupboards open and hopping into clean pots and pans and if it’s not that then it’s them in their litter boxes flinging themselves everywhere so poo and CareFresh lines every inch of the room… they’re ALL little terrors.

I wish my buns would do that, Babbity!  For the life of me I can’t even get them to sit still for 5 seconds much less long enough to lay on my lap!  The most they’ll do is plop down next to you after they’re done tearing the whole house apart and thats only so you can pet them and tell them how cute they are.. LOL.

Mimzy — if I did that they would probably all stare and it would just give them one more reason they should tear up the carpet.  :X  Oy vey. They’d be like “ohhh,  I THINK there’s a veggie under this here piece of carpet, let’s tear it apart and find out!”  Bah.  

Here’s some of my buns during playtime!  We added new furniture to their side of the room (new table and stand) and they were sooo confused.  Especially because the new table chairs are high and they can’ t jump on the table anymore.  :X  Poor buns!

Nikkibun your little ones are so cute. I am concerned however that you are feeding them Cheerios. There are a lot of extra added stuff in there that can be very harmful to their digestive system.

So my computer is being weird and temperamental.  I tried adding these to my last post but it wouldn’t let me.

I was searching through my old photos and came across this one.  I thought you guys would enjoy the cute wild Florida bun.  And the fluffy black cat staring at it hungrily (she was making that cute excited cat noise while looking at it) is Haru.  I’ve had her before she was actually born because we had her mom when she was pregnant with her and her sisters.  My silly brother had taken in Shadow (her mom) and didn’t even realize that she was pregnant until several weeks after having her.  And I had to see and point it out to him.  Thankfully we had gone through my other cat’s CC’s pregnancy so we knew what to expect.

This photo was taken a few weeks ago.  It’s my bf’s cat Jack.  He love sleeping in bags and boxes.  My bf’s sister came to visit with her kids and her oldest had taken his toys out of the duffle and when he went back to it to put his toys back this is what he found.

There are so many cute bunnies on BB! And they all have such personality! Tanlover your bunnies sound like a handful, to say the least, and wow are they gorgeous. Cinnabunmom, I’ve loved every photo you’ve posted of Cinnabun. She’s such a photogenic bunny! FrankieFlash, Bunjamin is just too cute! I love his coloring. And omg I could go on and on about everyone’s elses bunnies but I’ll stop for now. I’ll just add that it’s not only great to see so many adorable photos of bunnies, it’s great to see so many adorable photos of bunnies who are living happy lives and are clearly loved by those who care for them.

Foo will flop when my fiance pets her and will stay flopped as long as he is petting her. Its so cute!

Skippers Mama- I’m feeling much better, thanks! I was sad when I had to go back to work and not stay home with the bun all day though.

Skipper’s mama – I have a black fluffy cat much like your Haru His name is Ripley. He would just flip out at the window trying to get to that bunny lol. He’s not allowed anywhere near Mimzy hehe.

Oh Bunjamin is so little! He’s so cute ^-^ I had a box for mimzy I put to block off a tiny spot I didn’t want her going in. That box is no more in just a day lol.

HODARI — SOOOOO FREAKING FLUFFY AND CUTE!  All that freaking fur, how in the world do you keep it soooo clean?!?!?

Also, yesterday was our major condo cleaning day for the buns…. took some cute pictures while they were “helping”.

Everyone finally happy and content with a newly cleaned house…  (Which as you can see they have already begun to redestroy after 3 minutes of being inside….)

Memarie — I agree. It definitely IS amazing to see so many happy buns with such good lives. It always makes me sooo incredibly sad when you see/hear of one that isn’t being well cared for. I wish I could just rescue them all. Sometimes I look at my little buns and just can’t help but feel sad for all the buns who HAVE to rely on humans and so many are so cruel or horribly cared for… I love this community and being able to talk to so many great people and see their incredibly happy bunnies!

BUNJUMAN — did I spell that right?? HOLY CRAP HE’S SOOOOO CUTE. I LOVE, absolutely LOVE the one of him climbing through the BB box. Reminds me of something my little brats would definitely do.

Skippers Mama — SO CUTE!

Everyones buns just make me go insane…and I can’t help but say it again — HODARI IS SOOOOOO FLUFFY! Fluffy bun! I wanna bun nap him and cuddle him in bed all day with a good movie!

BullRider — I can’t help but always love your buns! Lmao about the blankie and guarding it. Does your bun dig the crap out of that??? As soon as my buns are in any kind of towel/blanket they will dig it like their lives depend on it and then poop 800 poops everywhere while they do. They get soooooo overly excited.

PS. I NEED BLUE PICTURES!!! And anyone else with a Flemmie! So I can oogle and dream they’re mine!

OMG Hodari is the fluffiest thing I’ve ever seen!  I love her poofy little tail! I’d steal her if I wasn’t so worried about my allergies (I’m allergic to rabbits…). 

Tanlover I love the pics from condo cleaning time!  My first bun would always have to inspect EVERYTHING I did when I cleaned out her cage.  She also loved to get in the way by knocking over my spray bottles, kicking around the paper towels, and sitting on whatever I was reaching for.  (I used to just use a bucket of water when cleaning her cage but she kept jumping into it and/or knocking it over so I switched to spray bottles… see picture below)

I’m new around here still but wanted to share a few pictures of my Luna:

One of her favourite past times seems to be watching me as I type/read/study. 

 One of her ears has dropped, the other one is starting to fall too.  When she’s relaxed they fall in the same direction (normal?).

She gets impatient waiting for hay and takes matters into her own hands… until I chase her away and put the lid back on.

Her current favourite toy is our phonebook.  It’s wonderful at keeping her occupied.  I wish I “discovered” this when Marbles was still around.
