So when we 1st got Ashes we were told he was male ( both the breeder & I checked a bunch & the breeder felt strongly that he was infact male) BUT when I took ‘im for his 1st check up the vet said she was leaning towards female but couldn’t be 100%… so she had said “in another month or two” she’d check again so I’ve been waiting patiently… looking at pics online & randomly checking Ashes & at times was like “that’s a penis!!” and other times was like… “yup, it’s a girl…” BUT today I checked & it was a very noticeable wee willy, lol BUT… I was the only one home so just now I checked again so that my bf could take a look & get his 2 cents… & boom! there it was… a lil’ bunny testicle!! He’s super furry down there so at 1st look you wouldn’t see it but I must have just happened to push the fur aside just right… I couldn’t find the other one but he’s only 10 weeks old so is it possible only 1 has dropped? Or maybe it’s there but cause the fur is so think it’s just hard to see esp. with a squirmy bun… Anyways, I’m super happy cause I really wanted a male Flemmie, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my lil’ girl Hunny & wouldn’t trade her for ANYTHING but when we got her I was told I was getting the male (there was 2, brother & sister) … The breeder even offered to take her back but I had spent the whole weekend with her & I was in love with HER & the sex didn’t matter at that point. & I’ve totally fallen head over heels for Ashes also even if he was a she BUT to finally know…

It’s always good to finally know. I can’t wait to see more pics of the two!

That’s good to know, and it won’t be long now when you can get him neutered.

It’s a good illustration of how careful new bunny owners need to be when taking in 2 bunnies. Even vets and others can get the gender wrong, and it’s terrible to find that out when one bunny has an Oops! litter.
Also, it’s a generalization, but often the opposite sex bunnies bond more easily.
