I don’t think it matters from what I have heard. Bunny dating seems to result in quite the mix and match.
A friend has had her recently rescued bun bond with her sons guinea pig.

ive heard quite a bit about buns bonding with guinea pigs.. although i have heard that guinea pigs CAN carry a disease that can kill buns.. im not sure how accurate that is.

im going to try and find a way to take him out for dates.. but there arent many urban bunnies in my city.. hmmmm.

Breed definitely does not matter. It’s best to take your bun to rescues and let them click with their friend.

I’ve had a Californian and a Fuzzy Lop Bond.

A small mix black rabbit and large gray mix rabbit.

I’ve seen large and small and everything in between.

Rabbits are not prejudice by breed at all.

wonderful information from all of you.

i hope we are able to find a friend for him.

i am home all day but ive heard so many great things about bonded bunnies.. and how they love eachother

my only worry is the actual bonding process BUT! we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
