I was in Petsmart the other day and saw colered nail covers for small animals and cats. Reading the label it said you cement them on and that it was safe for the animal. I can understand the idea cause bunny sratches are common and anoying sometimes, but it it really safe?? what if it came off and they ate it?? anyone else know about these?

I haven’t used them on rabbits but I have used them on my cats. It really helps to keep them from scratching up furniture. And after the caps were put on the cats didn’t mind them too much. The caps would fall off naturally with the shedding of the nails and my cats were like, “eh” and didn’t bother them. I would be concerned about the curious nature of rabbits and wanting to chew things. It’s not always easy to keep an eye out for when the caps fall off. So, it might be easy for a cap to come off and have the bun eat it if they’re curious about it.
