I don’t see any pictures either, here’s how to upload pics: https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/aft/120334/Default.aspx

About the gender, it can be very difficult to tell sometimes, especially when the rabbit is young. I was told one of my rabbits was a boy so I named “him” Wilbur, but she ended up being a girl. It would be best to have a rabbit savvy vet confirm and since your rabbit is new a vet appointment would be good. Do you have a rabbit savvy vet already? In the meantime, here is a website that might help but I would use it as only a “guess”: How to Sex Your Rabbits

Welcome to BB btw, can’t wait to see the pics

Ooo he or she is very pretty!!! Are the whiskers curly? Looks like he/she could be a Mini Rex. Do you know how old the rabbit is? Also, the coloring is called harlequin, it’s a very cool color

Yes the whiskers are curly! I bought him/her like that. I thought it was from too small of a cage or something…I have no idea how old it is. I got it about two months ago.

Welcome to the forums. : )

                      How old is your rabbit?

                      A quick “how to”:
Gently place your rabbit on it’s back. Make sure you support their back the whole time. Rabbits don’t like being put like this so if it’s struggling a lot and getting really stressed, try again another time. Or get a vet to take a look!

Apply pressure on the genital mound until the genital pops up. Both females and male will protuded to an extent.

If female you will see a slit. For male, it is more of a round ring shape at the tip. My silly way of describing is with a napkin. If you folded a napkin on the diagonal, the folded again, the top of the triangle where the halves meet looks like a female. If you were to roll the napkin instead, the top looks like a male. I may have to put up some pics of this napkin…

                        Oh wow! Cute but tiiiny!

I agree, colour is called harlequin. Japanese harlequin. The other type is called magpie which is black and white or grey and white in the pattern.

“Noodle” is very tiny. Crazy though. I dont have him with me right now to check, wish I did. Thanks about the color though, and yes I just looked it up, mini rex is the perfect desription. I was wondering why his fur was like that…

Yup sounds like Noodle is a Mini Rex, Mini Rexes are tiny (hence the name)

I heard that male rabbits don’t have nipples Mimzy wouldn’t let me put her on her back for a while so I tried feeling for nipples and they were there! Which was at about 3 mos. She just let me turn her on her back right now but only for about 5-10 seconds haha. Looks like girl parts to me though
The guy they got Mimzy from also said she was a girl, but I just wanted to double check!

Take your bun to the vet to be 100% sure!

And I, too, think your bun looks like a mini rex with harlequin pattern. It’s very beautiful!

Exact same happened to me! I’ve been trying to look as well sometimes you can feel for testes but if they’re you g they may not have developed properly or its hidden under fur. But yeh keep feeling as they get older. Here’s another link I found to tell for some younger/dwarf breeds  http://www.freewebs.com/hoppingmad/…totell.htm

Like people have said bucks/males have a more cylinder shaped penis that pokes out more but does/females also poke out too but is more of a triangular tipped shaped with a long slit through it. I still don’t know for defo the sex of mine but looks like a female

                                    P.s cute bunny >.<

First off he is adorable! I agree with the others, black japanese harlequin mini rex. That’s a mouthful lol. As for his/her sex… you might not be able to tell on your own right now. I tried to sex Bunjamin with google images and thought he was a girl only to have a week later the vet tech show me his testicles lol. I would definitely recommend finding a good vet, getting a wellness check, have her do the sexing, and then you have someone to go to in emergencies. Plus, you’re probably going to want to get him neutered down the line and I wanted to get to know my vet before I trusted her with my bun.
