next week will be a year and a half since Buki died, and both Rini and Usako are in their 9th year,,,

Clover has been At Tranquility Trail shelter for 3 years now, so we figured we’d start fostering with her. http://www.tranquilitytrail.org/Girl_Bunnies.html

‘technically’ our plan is to foster a new bunny or pair every 30 days to give the ones who have spent their entire lives in the shelter a chance to experience a real home… realistically speaking, i will probably end up with 20 adoptions by next august.

we just brought her home this afternoon,, she’s done a little exploring in the living room, but mostly she’s fascinated with tv…

What a sweet looking bunny I see no reason why you couldn’t have 20 adopted bunnies… hehehe. Where did you find blue nic cubes? I watch TV with the captions on too.

What a sweet rabbit – I think I’m in love!

You are so gracious to do this. I know the rabbits will love have a nice home and some love for the month they are with you and you will love fostering too.

Fantastic! She’s really pretty. So happy to see you took a REW also. They are overlooked all to often.

Have Rini and Usako picked up on her presence yet?

Awhhh gotta love REWs! How would someone not adopt her? You guys are doing such a nice thing, I’m sure the rabbits will be happy spending time at your home.

She’s beautiful! You are so sweet to help out bunnies in need. How sad that any bunny should have to spend 3 years without a real home. Although, that shelter is the nicest I’ve ever seen pics of, but still, nothing beats a home with loving people.

What do the little Rex’s think of this new imposter bun? Can’t believe it’s been a year and a half since your Fubuki died. I remember that well.

                          Keep the pics coming!

How do you keep your bunnies from chewing on the base boards/trim? I know mine would devour them.. and also dig a hole to China through the carpet. I’d love to let mine roam on carpet (Leo loves carpet.. a bit too much) and not have to have cardboard plastering the walls.

She is soooooo ADORABLE. I’m with everyone else — I could never give up a bunny if I tried fostering. I’d end up on that hoarding show with nothing but bunnies. Or like the lady in Canada they found that had over 1,000 bunnies crammed into her house… :X *facepalm*

keep an endless supply of cardboard boxes and panels they can shred..also they get less destructive as they get older

                                        .

Really? I seem to do the same and they always go right for the trim. They escaped one night (I accidentally left the xpen door unlocked) and they had the whole apartment to explore, what do they do? go straight for the trim behind the couch. I tried giving them a carpet square, it was destroyed in 2 days. They are both 3 yrs old, I hope they calm down some. Lucky for you you’ve got a well behaved girl, she’s a keeper ;-).

Well it looks like you have an endless supply of cardboard boxes :~) What a gorgeous space too.

I agree, they are so much less destructive as they age.

My little terrors have been chewing at the front panel of the spa…. Nothing seems to stop them. The relocation to their new bunny room is not far off and they won’t have access to anything unless they get into the lounge where the teak china cabinet, coffee table and TV unit are located. (I’ll be able to use my spa agin then too, can’t run it now as I don’t want them around the smell of chlorine.

unfortunately that’s not the reference. her first 4 years before TT were spent in a small wire cage with almost no interaction or exercise  and poor diet. she is very susceptible to bladder sludge which she needs to get flushed by the vet twice a year (so no pellets or greens with calcium), and she also needs a daily buttbath.

Aw, the poor thing. I’ll send some healing vibes her way. I have to give baths to Fiver occasionally because he has an irritable cecum and every few days it gets cranky and he winds up with poppy butt and feet.
You can imagine the laundry load between him and Mimzy with his incontinence due to headtilt and not always being able to reach the litter pan in time.
Anyway…Clover is worth the nosebleed. I’m certain she’ll flourish in your care.

Hehe, I think your buisiness has started taking over your house too. Not just the bunnies.
Bunny-related I assume. Those getting a pre-nibbled box should consider themselves lucky and count it bunny-approved!

That’s a great idea Mike! I like the rotating 30 days! It should be a bit easier to give them back, keeping to a 4 week timeline. (not that it’s ever easy). I know that with my fosters, as soon I hit 6 weeks or more, I’m like how am I ever going to give you back 😐

I do vote on keeping her though! She’s GORGEOUS
