My Bunny uses a plastic corner litter pan which she has had since I got her 2 months ago. The problem is that she has been chewing it for a couple of weeks now, and I am almost certain that she is eating the plastic which has me very concerned. She has plenty of toys and things to chew and play with and is out of her cage at least a few hours a day, so I don’t feel like this is boredom. I put some hay in her pan, and she tends to pull more in with her, but she still chews at the pan. I was wondering if anybody knows of any non-plastic and preferably non-cardboard solutions. (She has a bit of a cardboard obsession also, and I don’t want her eating too much of that either.)
I found one metal corner pan available on another website but shipping made it almost 100$ and I feel there must be a cheaper more immediate solution that I just can’t think of.
She has not chewed a ton more than this photo shows, but I would like to stop it before it becomes worse or she has hurt her stomach.
Thank you
