I know they’re smart animals and can recognize a bunch of words, so what words do your buns know? Foo knows her name, come here, and sometimes no. She is starting to learn what we want when we say kisses and I think she recognizes blankie. I think she understands that “Good Foo Foo, good bunny” are positive when we say it, like when she uses her litter box too.

She can communicate with us pretty well…if she wants attention she stomps her feet, especailly when she wants to be pet, or she’ll follow me around until I play with her. When she’s not happy with us, she’ll turn her back on us and ignore us.

I think just “no” and “do you want a naner”. Wooly probably knows his name, but he mostly ignores me. Leopold doesn’t know anything, but that would be a given.

Hmm…Skipper definitely knows “veggies” and “pellies”. I do believe she’s learning “pineappy” since we’ve just started giving her pineapple. She’s more driven by her want of food so she’s picked up on the words that are connected with her getting fed. When she’s out playing my boyfriend will casually mention making her vegetables (we give her vegetables as a way to herd her back into her cage) and she’ll hear the word and perk right up and follow him around the house until he makes them. =p

Pacey understand “treat”, “Bye bye”, “off”, “no”, “bedtime”, “spin” and “go hide”.

Dini understands hand signals since he is mostly deaf. He can hear you if you are like right in his ear. But he knows hand signals for all of the above as well as “come” and “stand still”.

Parsley knows his name..whether he responds to it is another thing, i usually only get an ear raise or he might look a me like ‘what do you want’. He knows ‘no’ and ‘oi’ for when hes in destructo mode. also ‘watchya doin’ for when hes playing around or doing something funny which usually elicits him running way binkying. he knows ‘whats this’ means i have something yummy for him. I usually use sounds more than words with him. I whistle at him which always gets his full attention if hes up to mischief, clapping loudly also works for extra naughty behaviour. if i say his name a particluar way he knows it means its RAISIN TIME! his favourite time of the day When i’m not in the room he always gets on my bed and starts causing havoc and when i walk past the room i’ll point at him and he’ll stop what he’s doing and give me this innocent look.

Cinnabun knows her name plus several variations thereof, and also responds to ‘Fluff!”
She knows “raisins” “Cranberries” “lunch” (or maybe she just knows it’s 1pm??) and she always looks at me when I ask her if she’s “having da noms?” when I see her eating hay.

Rascal knows his name and I think Valentine knows her name too. Rascal also knows “no,” but Valentine doesn’t know anything else. Still working with her. =)

I think Bunjamin knows his name. Not sure. A lot of his words I also use hand signs with out of habit so I can’t tell if he knows the sign or the word. He knows “wait” but only in one scenerio- when he’s trying to leave a room when we open a door. He knows “No” that I’m sure. And he knows my mad tone and happy tone more than the words I say usually. I think he knows “good boy” but once again I’m unsure of that. This thread reminds me I’m not teaching Bunjamin to his full potential.

Olivia responds to her name and will come when I call her or whistle. I say her name in a very distinct way: Ohh-Leee-Veee-A. Stormy usually responds to his name or “Peanut”. Bindi doesnt respond too much to words because Im pretty sure hes partially deaf.

They respond more to sounds than words. If they hear the fridge opening, followed by the kitchen tap running, they figure Im preparing a treat and start running around in their condos and Stormy chews on the bars in his begging position. Same thing if they hear me chopping something in the kitchen. Or opening a crinkly bag, they think its me opening their bag of papaya candy. They love treats!

Simba knows “Kisses” and “HEY GET OFF THE TABLE.”  Oh and he knows when I say “I’m going to get him a treat.” to my mom, he runs straight to the fridge.

Smokey knows “cookie” for her timothy cookies, “papaya”, “veggies”, her name and we also call her “baby”. She has different reactions to each one. She’s definitely a smart one, too.

My buns know their names — and they definitely know the word “No!” LOL. (They hear that one a lot.) And one of my boys knows “Mommas gonna get you!” and will take off binkying and running around like a crazy boy whenever I do it to him. My three were JUST introduced to treats a few weeks ago and so now they go absolutely NUTS whenever they hear the bag of craisins or nibble rings open. They all will jump all over us until they get them.

Sunshine knows the word snuggle. I tell her at night do you want to snuggle and she will come over and lay right next to me. In the winter time we cuddle under our blankies but since its summer time it is to hot for that! Kamdyn knows when I say veggies what he is getting!

Lulu knows when I say “BUNNIES” in a certain way it mean veggies or treats. I think she knows her name. Now for Mocha I am not sure, i think he is half deaf so he kind of just reacts off of Lulus actions, so if she gets excited and starts running around he knows there is food. Mocha is very smart though and knows a few tricks, i want to clicker train him but if he is half deaf I will probably have to stick with hand motions.

My little Belle knows her name I think, or at least to come to me when I say “Belle, come come”. She only does this because she knows she’ll get a treat if she does. You have to start somewhere though right? I wish Belle knew “No”. She’s so naughty.

I love how cinnabun responds to fluff!! And mocha I’ve seen a video on youtube (before I joined here which is funny) of you calling your buns like that and they run over. I think its a tut on how to get your bun to come to it’s name. I can’t remember now though

I think Foo knows the difference between Mommy and Daddy too. I dont know though. Ill tell her to go see Daddy and she will go to Ryan, but she might just be going to him because Im leaving for work or to go to a different room instead of actually listening.

I wish my bunnies knew “No”. They don’t tend to be naughty around me, they do it when I am gone. If they happen to do something naughty and I say “NO” they just turn around and look at me like, “What you yelling for? I am trying to chew this up over here.” haha

Huck knows her name. She responds to it about 50% of the time. She knows “spin”, “up” and “talk to me” (she smacks her lips and wiggles her nose and it looks like she is talking, she only does it when she stands up). She knows “dinner”, “bedtime” and “grape”. She seems to think “no” means go do binkies, and she despite the fact that she knows the words, I think she plays dumb sometimes, probably because I don’t give her junk food just because she is staring at it, clearly asking for it.
