I have been rabbit sitting for 5 days now. So now there are 3 bunnies in the house. Which 2 of them are mine. I honestly can say it isn’t that much different taking care of another one. Now if i had a full time job then maybe yes it would be difficult. I really enjoy rabbit sitting and it is going well. This is my first time rabbit sitting so i am happy and excited about it!

          That’s very cool! I don’t think I could handle 3 buns.

That’s great. I rabbit sit for a few friends and I have 4 of my own. So while one does make a difference for me, it’s no big deal really. And I’m happy to help my friends out and they are relieved to have someone who knows rabbits caring for their rabbits.

I put the rabbits I sit in the room with my senior rabbits and they enjoy the company I think (the visiting rabbit that is – my rabbits could care less).

Sounds nice! Are you bunsitting for a friend or is this going to be like a business thing for you?

Good to hear it’s going so well! I wish I could pet sit a bunny. Right now I’m pet sitting a friend’s guinea pig. It’s pretty interesting…it’s not much different than caring for a small bunny. They have a diet of hay, veggies and pellets, they need 30 minutes of “out time” every day, they love ear rubs, etc. The main difference is that I now wake up to bubbly-sounding squeals every morning.

Awww, that sounds like sooo much fun! I want to bunny sit! I’ve heard there can be so much difference in personalities between the different breeds so I’m really curious as to how other breeds would act! My little ones are beyond hyper.

FrankieFlesh — You could TOTALLY handle 3 buns! I said I could never have more than 2 before and then low-and-behold I have 3 and want the last one of the litter soooooo bad! (Don’t know if the breeder will sell him yet.) It’s not bad at all if they bond! But I guess — if they don’t bond that would be a handful. Cleaning out 3 cages and giving them all ample play time before they were spayed/neutered was quite the chore.

The lady I work for at the rescue asked me if I wanted a trio because she has two that she thinks would bond with Bunjamin. I just thought… that’s a lot of $$$, and space, and poop. lol If I had more free time I probably would be down for three though

I agree frankie If i had more money I would love to adopt more rabbits a bonded pair. Right now taking care of a disabled bunny and another bunny is enough work for me!

A disabled bun? That’s sooo sad but soo ABSOLUTELY great of you! I get really sad thinking about how my buns are all the same age so they’ll all age and everything together. But it’s okay. We’ll def take care of their every needs until the very end! I love my little bun buns to death.
