  We are leaving Lola for almost 2 weeks and I am so sad. We’ve had to leave her before and she has stayed at my boyfriend’s parents (we refer to it as the “Animal Country Club”) where she can play with the cat but this is the first time she is staying with strangers. I know she is in good hands at a rabbit rescue with a lady that said she’d snuggle with her but I’m just so sad! I always get the ‘bunny bun ignore’ when I come back. :'(
  
  We are packing some of her favorite toys that have her “home smell” on them (including her little cuddle cup that she adores) and some healthy familiar treats…but does any one have some other suggestions? She will also be getting Oxbow there which is the same as she eats at home.

  She is so cute! Ah! I had to leave my buns for 3 days two weeks ago and I missed them so much, I hate it.

  thanks! we’ve had to leave her twice this summer for weddings which has been awful but it has been comforting because she has been with family. this is the first time we actually have to pay a sitter and i am so sad she’s not going to be with anyone or anything she knows.

  Oh, I’m so sad for you! I can’t imagine leaving that adorable little face for 2 whole weeks! You must be devastated Sounds like she’ll be in great hands while you’re gone, though. I don’t know if she is a cloth chewer or not, but if she isn’t, you should send one of your old T-Shirts with her so she’ll have something with your smell on it while you’re away. That way she can “snuggle” with it until you’re back. Just an idea. Sounds like you’ve got everything else covered. Have a wonderful and safe trip.

  I can see why it will be hard to leave that sweet little face! I hate leaving my buns for any amount of time. But at least she will be with someone very experienced with rabbits. Will they let you call to check up on her?

  We are going to be camping with no internet or cell service or else I would probably ask sheepishly if she wouldn’t mind sending me a picture or 2.
  
  She doesn’t rip things up so the t-shirt idea sounds great!
