So I am doing something I normally would never do on Friday but I think it’s time to let myself come out of my shell.  I am meeting a friend that is from New Zealand who I met through one of my good friends (But I only know the girl from New Zealand from Facebook) on Friday at Disneyland.  I am normally a very shy and reserved person but on Friday I am going to try and talk more and show her and her mom around Disneyland.  I know that park pretty darn well.  I am excited and nervous!  I am so lucky and grateful to her and her mom though because they offered to pay for my to go to Disneyland!  (we are going to both parks so that’s double the price almost)  I am usually the one having to pay for friends to go places but this time I didnt have any money to go (except for food money) and so her mom offered to pay!  I was soooooo surprised.  I know it’s going to be really crowded this week since it’s the fourth of July week AND Cars land just opened at California Adventure.  I have never met someone in person from another country so it’s pretty exciting.  I can be like their tour guide.  =P

I am also lucky because my mom offered to drive me there and my aunt is going to take me home.  I live about 45 minutes from the park without traffic.  I don’t drive soooo I am lucky I got a ride there and back.  I didn’t expect it at all.

I just wanted to share what happened with you guys.  Weather shouldn’t be too bad Friday in Anaheim. =)

          Cool. Hope you have fun.

Friendly recommendations: Try the Gumbo Bread Bowls at The Royal Street Veranda. Really good stuff. The veggie one has the best reputation. Pineapple whip floats from the Tiki Room Juice Bar are legit too.

I don’t know how long it’s been since you’ve been there, but they reopened the castle walk-through after a near decade hiatus. It’s only open until 5 or 6 though, so make sure you go early.

You probably know this, but if you can grab a last ride by getting in line just before the park closes. Everyone in line at closing time gets to get on their ride.

Thanks, I have heard good thinks about the pineapple whip floats. After ALLLL the years I have been going have NEVER had one. Maybe this will be my chance! lol I went last in December ’11.

I’ve never had gumbo before. I will try to try the veggie one!

That’s pretty cool! I’m sure you’ll be a great tour guide and have a lot of fun hanging out with new people. I love the accent people from NZ have too.

Me too, Elrowhen. I would take them to Disney just to hear them talk all day!

It was a lot of fun. They only stayed until about 1:30 because they had to go to a concert. I was at the park by myself for about an hour but then my aunt and uncle came so that was cool. I really enjoyed my time with my NZ friend. She is super nice and so is her mom. Her mom paid for my ticket, my lunch AND gave me an extra $20 for refreshments. So nice. I was super lucky to have met them. NZ people are awesome. haha
