Was it mixed with anything to make it taste good. Wooly was practically begging for his medicine, he would even bite the dropper because he thought more should be coming out of it. If it wasn’t flavored, could you maybe mix it with something yourself?

try mixing it with plenty of banana. she might take it willingly so you won’t have to hold her at all.

Mine will do anything for Craisins…. Could you crush some with the baytril and make a paste ?

I always feel bad giving Baytril; the stuff smells like rubbing alcohol, even when it’s flavoured. The only way to give meds to my buns is to sit them on a towel on the table. If they are being really difficult, I wrap a towel around them and/ or put my hand over their eyes.

You could try mixing it with banana baby food but she will most likely recognize the smell of the Baytril.

Glad you found a solution. Make sure to give her a yummy treat immediately after the meds, then she will associate it with something good and it takes the yucky taste out of their mouth. I usually offer something flavorful like banana, peach or pear slice.

I inject pieces of dried fruit w/ liquid meds when I’m having issues.  I usually use a clean syringe from my diabetic cat’s stuff, but you can buy syringes from your vet to do this.  Craisins and Raisins do best w/ the injection process.

Here’s another method in case she gets to squirmy in the burrito. I like to keep the bunny on the ground and pin them between my knees, not hard, and hold down the shoulders with my left hand (it helps if they’re facing a wall, which is further incentive to not run forward). Then I can use my right hand to stick the syringe in the side of the mouth. It’s pretty quick since no burrito-ing or picking up is involved.
