Hunny’s a chewer also… I get lil’ (natural not painted) baskets from the dollar store (Dollar Tree), different shapes & sizes. She loves chewing the handles off them & picking them up & tossing them about.

Another thing I picked up was a package of those Chinese finger cuffs ($2 for a pack of 12 @ 5 Below & I’ve also seen them at the dollar store…) I toss one of those to her & she quick snatches up & goes to town.

I also found those cat sratcher cardboard refills at the dollar store, Hunny loves to shred those. And 1 keeps her busy for a couple weeks.

Michael’s craft store has the willows balls under $5. Different sizes too.

Take a walk around the dollar store & you’ll be amazed at what kind of things you can find that make great chew toys… and if bunny hates it well… you only paid a buck instead of the ridiculous amounts of money the pet stores are asking…

O, I just realized you’re in Australia… Idk if they have those specific stores there but maybe there’s similar ones…

Take a toilet paper or paper towel tube and stuff it with hay. Makes a great chewing and tossing toy. You can hide little treats or pellets inside too. You can also try taking a box, making a hole in it and stuffing it with flyers or junk mail.

My guy isn’t usually much of a chewer except for sticks with bark. I caught him attempting to nibble a little on a file-folder in a bookcase briefly. So, I stuck a phone-book (Chicago yellow-pages, so rather thick) in the bookcase, sticking out about 3 inches, with the edges of the pages out. Whenever he gets an urge to nibble on paper, he totally ignores the file-folder and other books and goes to town on the phone-book. His urges only last a few seconds and this seems to work for him.

He also loves paper-towel-tubes stuffed with hay and herbs and pellets (mainly to make noise), but mainly for tossing purposes.

Mine love to chew on boxes and hide in them as well. It’s a double purpose toy. I love them because I can get them free in all shapes and sizes at this one store I frequent. I use masking tape to tape them though, instead of the plastic tape, and I cut two entry holes in the boxes (they tend to prefer having a front and back exit.)

a simple box with shredded paper, lots of it is another nice option and also similiar to others.
my bun loves the toilet roll stuffed with hay. i turn the box up side down with a hole or two on opposite sides for him to come in and out of.
he usually will jump on top and go to work demolishing the “roof”
