How is everyone doing? ![]()
I am so happy to see BB back up
I take study breaks sometimes, and want to go onto BB to see all of the cute bunnies! Chacha promises a photo bomb soon. I have caught her stretching and yawning, but the photo isn’t very focused.
Chacha is going to see her vet on my birthday for her annual exam. She hasn’t lost much of her winter chub
She has been really lazy lately. She prefers blanket binkies over bunny 500s.
School has begun, and I am currently in Week 6. My job has given me 3 days off a week to complete my studies and homework. So right now, I am working about 20-24 hours a week. It is nice to relax and be able to do school work, but I do miss the amount of money that I used to get. Oh well, school is only temporary ![]()
For the past 3 weeks, I have been attending a Yoga class at the gym. It has helped me relax and I love it
It is a beginner – intermediate class. The instructor is quite wonderful – she always says there is no competition, expectations, and that we should honor our bodies. She shows many options if how to do a pose if one cannot get into the pose. I am always sore the next day, so I feel as though my body and mind is improving!
The boyfriend is now back from college. He graduated 2 weekends ago. I’m glad that he is back. He got his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. A lot of our classes he has taken are similar to mine, so he has been helping me. Considering that his Anatomy & Physiology class was a 400 level class Freshman year… he is a big help ![]()
Chacha wants to know how she can attach photographs into a post! Her highness awaits answers
Time to get started on Intro to Medical Assisting homework!
Talk to you all later
I’m so happy BB is back again!! It was so sad checking in everyday and seeing the forum was still locked
LoveChaCha you won’t miss that money as soon as you graduate and start working at your new job
School is only temporary, so enjoy it while you can. I wish I could go back to school, but I can’t figure out what it is I wanna do, so for now I will stay where I’m at. I’m a tad jealous that you have direction and I don’t! lol I love yoga!!! I’m only a beginner too, but it makes you feel soooo great! I don’t take classes tho, I just do it at home.
For those who know my story, I am NOT moving to Boston. I finally realized that that was never what I truly wanted, and I can honestly say, I have never been happier before. I feel like a new person. I am finally living my life and I love it!! I kept thinking that I could never be happy until I got out of the town where I lived, but realize now that it wasn’t the town or my job or my situation that was keeping me from being happy, it was myself. I’m looking forward to a wonderful summer filled with tons of adventures and new beginnings!! And yes, “Jay” is a big part of my life as well now
Molly is more mischevious than ever…it seems like after her spay she has just gone wild, and its been 2 months since that…oh well, I knew being a bunny mom was gonna be a lot of work, so I won’t complain, because she is still my baby
Can’t wait to get back in touch with all the BB members! Oh how I have missed this… ![]()
Welcome back, BinkyBunny forums!
Not much going on in my life. I’ve been spending more time on the weekends working in the yard and the woods. DH has cleared some more brush from the “Field of Dreams” and we planted a couple fruit trees. We also built two raised beds in the small field behind the house and I’m excited to plant some veggies. I’m going to try starting some directly from seed and see how it goes, but I might have to buy a lot of seedlings. Maybe next year I’ll get the equipment to start seeds indoors. The bunnies are helping out by providing lots of poop and litter for compost (the stuff on the bottom of the pile from last summer is a nice dark black color now so I think it’ll be great for the soil quality).
I’m also starting to think about puppy plans! The puppy is due on May 31st, so only a couple weeks to find out if I’m definitely getting one (if the litter is very small, I may be pushed off of the waiting list). Then just two months to buy puppy supplies. I’m really excited since I’ve been waiting for a dog for 6 years now (not even including when I was in college), but I’ll admit that I’m a bit nervous for the bunnies. Of course I’ll go slow with introductions, but I hope things are easier rather than harder – it all depends on the puppy’s personality and how the bunnies deal with a dog. I think Otto will be laid back about it, since nothing phases him, but Hannah is a nervous nelly and will have an adjustment period. The breeder knows about the buns and will choose the best puppy for our situation, so that makes me feel better.
ChaCha, I’m so excited for you to be in school and really achieving the dream you’ve been talking about for a while. Do you like your classes? And I agree that once you start your new career the money that you’re making now won’t seem like a big deal at all.
Rei, I’m glad to hear you made a decision that you’re super happy with. That’s really what it’s all about! What fun things do you have planned?
All your gardening and planting sounds like hard work, but so rewarding!! I wanna plant a veggie garden…I just don’t have the time
What kind of puppy are you possibly getting?
Yes I am so happy with my decision! I’m definately gonna go kayaking this summer, and camping. My friend and I are also thinking about taking a 3 day getaway vacation somewhere, but idk where yet. My family also talked about visiting my sister in New York and seeing Niagara Falls from the NY side. I’ve never been there before. I am also looking forward to the Renaissance Festival and all the art festivals the summer brings along with it!
I am once again looking for work, my current ‘job’ (if you can even call it that) has cut back on a lot of us casual staff so I’m lucky to get a single 4 hour shift a week. I honestly don’t know how they expect us to be able to live on this and it’s annoyed a lot of people and I wouldn’t be surprised if a bunch of us leave if things don’t improve.
In bunny news Ash is 4 months old and growing into a cute little bun, a real mischievous little so-and-so but I adore her and wonder how I lived without her antics
ChaCha: That’s awesome about school! Are finding the classes difficult?
Elrohwen: What breed are you looking at? I’m super jealous, puppies are so much fun! Have you ever had a dog before?
Lately it seems that all I have been doing is school and horseback riding! School has been really boring but busy and I’m feeling stressed as the Japan trip is getting even closer (I leave June 9, promptly after my last final). Strauss and I have turned out to be a good match for each other, I’ve been able to work a lot with him since I got him. Horses are such gentle and sensitive animals I’m finding out more and more. I also have a new boyfriend. I guess all in all things have been really good lately.
Yayy, it’s great to see everyone back!
Bunnyfriend, so jealous you get to Japan over the summer! Have you been to Asia before?
Phew, I just spent the last 3.5 hours cooking. Now, I have five individually portioned meals ready to go in the fridge/freezer as well as a big pot of spaghetti sauce. It took a good while, but now I’ll have healthy meals ready to go for the next week. Now I just have to clean…worst part of cooking lol. Lately I’ve been kind of worried about finding something to do for the summer, but just a couple of days ago I finally heard back from a faculty member that agreed to work with me on a research project for the summer (and maybe beyond). Yay! I’m totally looking forward to working/researching 9-5 and not having to study all the time afterwards, haha. Hope the rest of you students here on BB are ready for finals!
i finally caught the jackrabbit on video this afternoon…
at 5 seconds he appaars between 2 bushes running left to right,, then at 10 seconds he crosses the trail. the video is slowed to 1/8 speed
I have been having a really hard time lately. Aside from the stuff in my other thread regarding my job situation, I haven’t been feeling all that well lately. They still don’t know what’s wrong with me. I’ve just been working really hard to get through this semester, so I have been trying not to think about it. We are finally done, so I’m free for the summer. My grades are looking pretty good, although I had to settle for a B in my one course. The rabbits have been fine at least, no problems there. I guess I have that to be thankful for.
Chacha – I’m so glad things are going well for you with school. I know it’s hard not to have any money. Believe me, I know all too well. But your program isn’t a long one so it will go by pretty fast. Then you’ll have a great new job where you made more than you did before you went to school. =D
Rei – Jay is the one where you were currently living, right? I’m glad to see you are happy with your decision.
Mike – I seriously did not see the bun.
i added some highlights around him
I’m so glad the forum is back… I’ve been way too productive
I’m also glad to see I wasn’t the one that broke it again. I apparently have a habit of doing that on here :/
I just continued to finish the semester and do boring student stuff. I did open an Etsy shop to sell my aunt’s jewelry making supplies for my Uncle. I’m in a lot of debt on that project right now. So I feel like this will be my main job for a long time. I also started volunteering at my local rabbit rescue and I think I’m addicted!
The most exciting news is with Bunjamin… He got neutered May 4! He’s now in the big-boy club as I call it. After we figure out where we’ll live when our lease is up he might MIGHT get a buddy, if he wants one. I also have a lot of cute videos I posted some in the Facebook group but I’ll share them on here sometime soon when everything settles and I can be sure I won’t break the site again
It’s so nice to read updates from everyone. I especially missed the people I couldn’t connect with on Facebook while the site was down. I think I would’ve went insane had it not have been for Facebook. So happy to be back with all my bunny-loving friends ![]()
It is nice to finally be back! A lot has been going on with us lately.
First a bunny update: Momo is doing wonderful and is destructive as always. She went to the vet in early April. Weight is in at 5.6 lbs. And everything looked great except for a tiny little chip on one of her upper front teeth, possibly from rattling her cage bars, or trying to get into things she shouldn’t. The vet scolded her and told her that she needs to stop those “bad bunny habbits.”
My husband and I are now up to 6 cats… again. Right around the time the forums went down, a very injured stray ended up on our front porch. After nearly a week of trying, we were finally able to catch him in a live trap and get him vet care. After a good month of quarantine, and getting his health back, he is now a very happy and comfortable cat. So we are keeping him. He is estimated to be about 3. He also has a permanent limp on his back right leg from one of the bad injuries. He was very feral when we caught him, and full of dirt, fleas, and looked like he lost a bad fight. He still does not let us touch him and is not always comfortable with us near him. But he gets along great with the other cats, and Momo has already bullied him enough that he leaves her alone completely. In keeping with our “S” name tradition with the cats, I named him Sly. It seemed appropriate, since he was so hard to catch.
My husband is completing college for now. Hopefully he graduates this Spring. He is kind of an idiot and did not get his papers in on time. So we will have to see. I have been working a lot. Still at Jo-Ann fabrics. They like to call me in a lot, probably since A. I do my job well, and B. They know I will say yes. So my schedule is always changing. Don’t get me wrong I love the extra hours and income, but I do not enjoy the inconvenience of losing my plans to do much needed house work last minute. I have also been loving the new Avatar: Legend of Korra series. Who would have thought something so amazing would come from Nickelodeon?
So yeah that is me for the last 6 weeks.
My big news is on the Lolli front. What else? LOL Short recap – we live with my dad and it was a huge battle with him over her being indoors. I believe when the forums went down, I was letting her hop around her room only. Well, Miss Queen of the Basement has officially won over grandpa. Because she is now allowed to run around the basement with supervision of course.
If I pick her up and bring her out to snuggle on the couch, I get told and I quote……….”Let her run around!” She only gets maybe 15 minutes of free time a night. I follow her around as it’s a finished basement with old barn planks as paneling halfway up the walls. And then there’s the pool table which she will die if she makes a mark on it. Not by me, by grandpa. lol
The first few times out, I got the “WTF are you following me for?! I don’t need supervision!” looks, followed by severe disapproval but now she comes back to get me or waits for me to follow. And she LOVES zipping around and doing spastic binkies and showing off for grandpa. I have video so if I figure out how to edit it, I will post it along with some fabulous pictures. lol
As for me, same old, same old. I still have my back problems but they aren’t as bad. I applied for school so hopefully I will be starting in the fall. I’m going into business administration. I think I have finally figured out at 32 years old, that I want to go into non-profit work. The college I’ll be attending is a small local one which offers the bachelors in it and also online courses. I have not thought too much about the future and what i want to do with my degree because I’m a huge planner. A planner who’s not good at the follow-through. lol First step is to start taking classes.
Oh forgot to add……
So Lolli let her secret slip. She really DOES know where her litterbox is and that she has to use it when she’s out. Cause miracles of miracles, there has not been one accident or poop left anywhere when she’s out. Oftentimes, she’ll go back to her room and I’ll go check on her if she hasn’t come back out and she’s in her box. See, I knew she knew. LOL
Rei – that is what I keep telling myself. The medical field is a more respectable field (my current job is retail, so not so much respect) and helping out people will be great
I look forward to boring Monday-Friday, so I can truly plan things and have a real weekend like other people.
Elhrowen – I’m enjoying my classes! I had a hard time with English at the beginning, but since all the students met up with the teacher, it isn’t so bad. Sometimes, clarification is all that is needed.
bunnyfriend – As of right now, I am taking 16 credits. English 101, Intro to Medical Assisting, Medical Terminology & Anatomy, and Accounting 121. Accounting is a 5 credit class that is spread out as 1 credit each quarter. It isn’t too bad at all, and I get it done really fast
My classes this quarter are all online, and starting June 25th, I go to the college twice a week for Clinical Procedures.
What are your plans for Japan, bunnyfriend? Are you going to get some kawaii UFO catchers in the arcades?
Buy all the bunny stuff? Japan is known for their cute bunny stuff o_O Holy cow.
Medical Terminology is a little challenging. I am assigned 1-2 chapters a week, and I make flash cards for the terminology. I have learned that I best learn words by putting them all together to form a word ![]()
Tonight, I am keeping the brat out of my room. Mommy is very very tired
it’s been an eventful month and a half for me. I had to make an emergency trip up to Canada. Yay, 23 hour drive EACH WAY. Ugh. I was soo tired. At least I could stop at my mom’s at the halfway point to sleep and eat tasty mom food. lol. Hubby had to stay home, as it was crunch time at work. So all by myself for a long ass drive. Got a ton of pics though, as he has never been down the road I drove
Have yet to upload them to my computer though. I’m such a slacker.
Got carpal tunnel from the drive in my right hand. What a pain in the butt that is. Made it so I had to drive one handed, thankfully my car is an automatic, and I haven’t been able to do any of my jewelry stuff
Soon though, my hand has been feeling better. And I have new shinies to work with, as my mom directed me to an awesome bead place in Edmonton.
next time, I’ll have to stop in and say hi to K&K while I’m up there, didn’t have alot of time this round.
Rie and bunnyfriend, I’m looking to get a Welsh Springer Spaniel. We originally wanted a brittany, but all of the breeders I was finding near me keep dogs in kennels for hunting. That’s fine if you want a hunting dog, but I want a house pet and not one who needs to run and hunt for 3 hours a day to be happy. A friend of a friend recommended welshies and once I researched them, they seemed perfect. They’re known for being good with other small pets too, so I hope that’s true for our pup.
I had dogs the entire time I was growing up, but I haven’t lived with one since college started 10 years ago. I’m so ready for a dog! We actually got Otto as a dog replacement, since we just weren’t ready for a dog and were renting.
bunnyfriend, I’m so jealous of your riding! You must post more pics. I still have another year or two before I can start lessons again, so I always look at the local horses longingly (some people 1/2 mile away have some beautiful horses and I love to pass them on my walks)
I saw this picture on a friend’s blog, and I thought that some of us with no-touchy bunnies could relate, lol.

Very happy to see the site is back up!
Yesterday I was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy. Wasn’t much of a surprise though, after the left side of my face suddenly lost part of its mobility on friday, we did some research online (who needs a doctor if you’ve got wikipedia lol). Well we went anyway to get the medications I need. So now I get to take 5 pills a day, for a week. Hopefully that will fix my face up…
(<– this is what I look like right now).
peppypoo: That strip is hillarious! It’s exactly what our cat does if we try to give her kisses. Except, there would be a fourth part where she sinks her teeth into somebody’s face…
I hope everybody else is doing well! (didn’t get to read the whole thread yet)
ChaCha: Ah that is nice that they are online, many people don’t have the self discipline that you have to do classes online!
Hahaha I will probably not be able to resist the temptation to buy cute bunny things! I’m going to do a home stay for a week in Ashikaga and go to our sister school, and then 2 weeks of traveling around to Tokyo, Kyoto, Himeji Castle, and Hiroshima. Last day we are going to Fuji-Q Highland amusement park ![]()
Peppypoo: Never been to Asia before! I’ve only been out of the country to Norway when I was a little kid, so this will be really interesting. Btw the cartoon is hilarious.
Elrohwen: Ahh I’ve heard they are good dogs! And they’re so pretty. You definitely deserve a dog after waiting that long ![]()
I know what you mean, I used to do the same thing when I saw people with their horses at the stable and when I passed by horses near my farm. I’ll post photos of Strauss this weekend
His nose is adorable it looks like a camel’s nose haha (he’s not really fancy, but I don’t need fancy I just need cute).
My grandmother is in the hospital – her arteries have been mostly blocked in her heart for years, doctors keep putting stents in and doing cleanings to clear them out enough for her to function, but they can’t do anything more than a temporary fix without open heart surgery. She is a Jehovah’s Witness, she will not take blood, so they haven’t wanted to do the surgery due to the risk of bleeding out. They are going to run some tests tomorrow and see how bad the stents they put in are clogged up, if too bad they may need to do the surgery even with the risk, which would be bad. ![]()
Rei – Jay is the one where you were currently living, right? I’m glad to see you are happy with your decision.
Yes, Jay is the one who lives where I do ![]()
Bahaha, peppypoo – that is exactly what Otto does before hopping away and glaring at me.
Rini & Usako both turn 8 on monday… (and shana 32) so I’ve hired a dancer…

bunnyfriend, the classes aren’t too bad. The first – fourth week of classes were all about time management, learning about myself as a person. It was the most stressful time – getting organized. I’m going into the sixth week and I am relaxed. I get all of my stuff done. So far, I have all A’s in 3 of my classes, and a high B in English.
This coming week, I am going to write a 1000 word essay on ‘Why women with a familial history of reproductive cancer should get screened/watched more closely.’ English has definitely been one of my challenging classes.
Cancer runs on both sides of my family. Breast cancer for my dad’s mom, lymphoma and leukemia for my mom’s parents. oh, and now melanoma with my aunt on my dad’s side. Fun times.
i’m batting .750 with venomous encounters on the bike this week…
I just finished my Anatomy Quiz over Dermatology, and Orthopedics (Bones and Muscles) and I got a 94% on it. I’m too tired to do anything else, so I’m going to head to bed in a bit. I’m going to a wedding tomorrow.
Mike, your adventures remind me of Red Dead Redemption ![]()
Hahaha, it is a bit like RDR but on bike instead of horseback. Man, I miss that game! I’m so disappointed that they didn’t come out with more expansion packs because I wanted to keep playing.
Yay LoveChaCha! That’s awesome!
Yes, so this was not a good day. I am really heartsick at the moment. There was a baby squirrel on my patio. I was trying to help him, but he couldn’t make it up the tree. I called the wildlife rescue people. The first person told me to leave him alone, but it looked like his mouth was bleeding so I called back. They didn’t get back to me for an hour and a half. By that time, he had disappeared. I couldn’t figure out where he went. I had to leave. My husband came home. He called me and said the teenagers across the street were messing with a squirrel. It was the same squirrel. Those little s&@#% took him out of OUR yard and took him across the street just so they could mess with him. It was dark by the time I got home and my husband said we could look for him in the morning. I feel so awful. I left him outside hoping he’d go up the tree if I wasn’t standing there and they came at took him as their little play thing. =(
LBJ10 that is horrible! I don’t understand how people could completely disregard that animals feel pain and have rights too, how would they like it if the situation were reversed? I hope you find the baby squirrel!
I hope I find him too. I will look tomorrow, but that means I’ll have to go over there. I feel awful because I was talking to the lady on the phone when she finally called and I was walking around looking for him and he was nowhere to be found. I was thinking to myself, he couldn’t have gotten that far. He was pretty unsteady. My husband said he saw them poking at it and laughing. Why on earth would them come into our yard, take it clear across the street, only to poke at it and try to get a reaction out of it? The poor little thing.
LBJ, I hate to say it but they might be the very reason it was injured in the first place.
I cannot understand that behavior in some teens (even some pre teens).
Goodluck. Hope you can find it and get it some help.
Yikes, having internet problems here. I have been up since 7:30, the technician is coming at 8-10 am. I hope this can be figured out, as 100% of all my schoolwork is based online for this quarter. Yikes!
Totoro spends a good 50% of his time at his “post” as I like to call it. The only problem is that this is the view I get from laying in my bed. He always has to angle himself just so he’s staring DIRECTLY at me. I wake up often at random times during the night and this is what I usually see….
What a creeper!!!!!
Edit: Oh and of course right now as I’m doing this I look over and see…
I found him! I walked over there this morning and there he was! I grabbed him, put him in a box, and took it to the person I had talked to yesterday. I was so happy! Then I came home and there was another one sitting beside the driveway. I’m thinking to myself “wait a minute, I just caught you”. So I grabbed that one and took it to that person as well.
I’m not sure which one is which, but I’m sure one of them was the right squirrel. The one I grabbed across the street was a little feisty though, like the one from yesterday. And it was scruffier looking, like the one yesterday. The second one just let me pick it up and put it in a box, no struggle or anything.
I’m hoping that they are siblings and I did the right thing by catching them both.
Yay I am glad you found him!
Im so glad to be spending a few hours on BB this afternoon! Not having a computer is just killing me. Mom just bought an IPad so shes lending me her laptop for now. Its driving me nuts though, its a french keyboard and all wacky. Im not sure where the apostrophe is so my posts will be apostrophe-less. Really irritating because poor grammar drives me nuts!
Monday is a popular birthday. Its my horses birthday too.
Glad you were able to help those squirrels, LBJ10. I found an injured squirrel on the sidewalk once and was scared some mean kids would find it so I got my husband to pick him up and put him in a cat carrier to bring to our yard. He had gloves on but the squirrel bit right through them. He had to go to the hospital for a tetanus shot. The squirrel died by the time we got back. ![]()
Bunnyfriend: Cute! Olivia is the same. Her post is the CD tower. She loves sitting behind it.
My husband was making fun of me, saying that the squirrel I grabbed from across the street may not have been the right squirrel. I think it is. But the way I see it, even if it wasn’t, at least this one it won’t be tormented anymore. So I’m happy I was able to get two babies to take to this person since she said it was likely something happened to the mother and they came down from the nest looking for food. I was told that if they were coming up to people looking for food, then it meant they were a little young yet to be on their own. So they will be safe now and I don’t have to worry about anyone messing with them. =)
LittlePuffyTail – That’s awful. The poor little thing must have been hurt really bad. You did the right thing by trying to help it. At least that way, someone wouldn’t come along and do something horrible to it during it’s final moments.
bunnyfriend – haha, love the sentinel bunny. The first thing I see every morning from under my covers is Peppy standing in the corner of her pen looking at me just like that from behind the bars…makes me feel super guilty haha. Like she’s been sitting there for hours watching me sleep and waiting for me to wake up and let her out/give her food…
we were cleaning pens at TTAS this morning, and i was doing the bunnysitting room. There was a young brown lop running circles in his pen.
i was on my knees picking up some stray poops off the floor to toss into his litterbox before i dumped it.
when suddenly,,, i felt a great disturbance in the force… as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were… totally on top of my leg humping the crap out of it.
Heh heh heh! ^. You got Hump’d.
@LBJ, great update. Well done!
it’s about frickin’ time we got some decent weather…

Yeah. I’d melt in that heat.
Its going to be 20C here today and thats plenty hot for May.
I woke up and I could not go back to sleep because my room got so warm. Ugh.
Guess it is time for me to buy some Popsicles at work.
I so could not live there Mike… 😐 it was 20 degrees C this weekend and I was laying out in the backyard tanning and the dogs even refused to sit in the sun after half an hour…
I think I would die in that heat, Mike! A nice 70deg is good for me.
Its 30c, 86F, here today. Bunnies are displeased.
Has anybody else’s bunny been acting up lately, or did Peppy just randomly decide to turn into a furry little monster all by herself?? She’s been an absolute angel for the past couple of months, but seems to have redeveloped her taste for carpet…siiigh. Even inside her pen, she’s tugging at the rug..while the weave prevents her from being able to ingest anything, I’d really rather her not destroy the thing. And I was just thinking about transitioning her to free roam…nope! Maybe it’s because I’ve been kind of busy lately, but whatever it is, I hope it goes away soon…
Smudge found a little hole in teh carpet that Moose had made months and months and months ago. She had ignored the spot for like the last 6 months, but a couple weeks ago she decided it needed to be bigger. Bah. I have a feeling we’ll be paying for carpet replacement when we move out lol.
I feel quite accomplished this week
I finished all my English work for the week (until Friday, the new week begins), my Accounting, and even finished one of three chapters for Anatomy! Hurray! Urology is what I finished, and now onto the male and female reproductive systems, and a quiz on that, along with some reading for Intro to Medical Assisting, and a quiz. It doesn’t seem like much to me since I got other stuff done
I’m going to take a break tomorrow, enjoy the sun, maybe even go swimming ![]()
I just discovered that I’m allergic to Banana Boat sunscreen. I wore some to a wedding I went to this past weekend, as it was an outdoor event. I got skin bumps (not itchy or anything) and I had that same reaction when I wore a certain type of cosmetic. I didn’t have any sunscreen left, so I asked the boyfriend for his. the one that I use doesn’t give me an allergic reaction
As for the naughty bunnies, Chacha found a place behind her condo (I only blocked off one part until this happened) and started shredding up carpet. My dad already said in the past that we will not be getting our deposit back :p Haha
I discovered that Leopold really likes apple. Unfortunately, that means he ate his piece and the piece meant for Mr Wooly. Good thing they weren’t very big pieces.
Hannah was pretty nutty for a while, but that was back in March and she’s settled down now. During that time she ninja-ed her way behind the couch (didn’t move any of the barriers or leave any signs that she had been back there) and cut through the surround sound cables in multiple places. sigh
Lately Totoro has been greeting me with a binky while running up to me when I get home from school
Today he binkied/jumped over his tunnel haven to get to me. It made me smile.
I finally got my home stay family information today! I was beginning to worry that they didn’t have enough families (even though there’s only 3 of us in my class
). They seem like nice people thank goodness.
Aww, love when bunnies binky for you
Powder is molting badly and every time he sees me now he runs up to me and flops down like “pet me mommy, get all this yucky hair off” lol so he’ll sit and let me get all the loose fur off and then keep still while I pet him. Little silly boy.
Spent yesterday calling around vet clinics to see if there was a rabbit savvy vet nearby, there is one at my local clinic but a few comments by the vet nurses didn’t give me faith to take Miss Ash there for spaying. A few of them said ‘yeah we spay rabbits’ but didn’t really have a vet who specialises in rabbits. So I ended up calling a vet who’s almost 2 hours away who I know a rabbit rescue up that way uses and not only did the lady who I talked to seem lovely and knew what she was talking about, they know what they’re doing, probably more so than any other local ones and the cost was $80 less (which pays for the fuel!).
So now I’ve got to call them back, book Ash in and ask my mum nicely to borrow the car, I feel a lot better having her in the hands of someone who really knows what they’re doing!!
Hey everyone! I’m out in Colorado this week visiting my uncle that I’m selling all the beads for. The weather is super nice but our stupid hotel has the pool closed until June. I’ve seen so many awesome sights and the Rock mountains are beautiful.
I thought of you longhairmike as went up this mountain today and there were bikers on these crazy trails that one wrong move and you’re falling down thousands of feet. I thought you would probably enjoying biking here.
But Of course I miss my bunjamin. He too has been super naughty before I leave chewing through his first cord ever. And there’s all these baby rabbits around our hotel me and Andy just stand and watch them from a distance. Had to remind Andy though that they aren’t domestic and you shouldn’t pet them Or give them vegetables because that’s what he wanted to do lol.
4 buns is the most ive seen in our yard together at any given time.
now that its getting hot out,, the word is getting around that we’ve got the best back yard for munchies and drinks.
i set the goproHD cam out in front of the quail block and let it record for 2 hours. I got all sorts of stuff, but i need to edit out all the non-event time first.
Sounds like you’ll be done school in no time, ChaCha
Good for you!
In a week I’m going on my annual cabin trip to Sisters, OR with the hubby and some friends. This time, we’re bringing hubby’s mom too, as she has been dying to go too. Should be tons of fun
Hope the weather is good for it, been seeing some hints of rain in the forecast ![]()
Owwwie!
I got my Tetanus shot! I was way overdue for one! Every 10 years.. well, it was more than that
! The Medical Assistant gave me a combo of Tetanus and Pertussis! Pertussis = whopping cough vaccine. It has been going around Washington because some parents are refusing to have their children vaccinated. I’m just glad the shot is over with! I can complete my vaccination chart and submit it to my professor for clinical classes next month!
Monkey, yeah, it is going fast. Mid-June is Spring quarter finals, then I am off for a week, and start summer quarter. Summer quarter is short – 8 weeks!
Speaking of school…

“So mom, whatcha studying this week?”
“Wat? The ‘wee-pro-duct-ive system? Sounds boring. I don’t have any of my lady bits anyway.. yawn, let me nap through this session.”
Love the smirk on Chachas face in that first one.
Im jealous of all you people living in rabbit land. I want wild bunnies in my yard! All I get is pigeons that poop on my car and an occasional pheasant.
Toady: Thats great that you found a vet you can have faith in. It will definitely make you feel better about bringing her there.
Tuesday, Stormy went for his senior wellness check and passed with flying colours. I was a little concerned because hes lost 2 ounces in the past month and hes always been at a pretty steady weight. His teeth are fine, that was my main concern, seeing as though hes 8. Im going to get his blood work done later this summer, just cant afford it right now with all my recent vet bills.
Went to see The Avengers. Im not usually a big fan of superhero movies but I really enjoyed it. I have to admit, I was routing for Loki. I have a crush on him.
Although, Thor aint too shabby either.
Ow! LoveChaCha, I refuse to get the pertussis vaccine because my entire arm swelled up like a balloon and hurt so bad from it when I got it as a kid. If I get the tetanus one, then I make sure it isn’t the combo. I suppose they wanted you to get the pertussis one though since you could potentially be around sick people.
Whopping Cough is spreading through Washington because the lack of children getting vaccinated for it
I didn’t mind getting the tri-combo shot. My arm is a bit sore, but it isn’t anything I can’t tolerate. I’m just excited that I get to do clinical classes next month
I can’t wait to wear scrubs!
I just finished my Quiz on 3 Anatomy chapters, and got a 92%
My allergies are killing me right now
I woke up at 8 this morning, could not stop sneezing, so I moved into the living room to sleep. I passed out and woke up at 11 am. Now I am still groggy
When I woke up, little Chacha was on her chair diagonal to me, trying to sleep! I noticed that when she is trying to sleep, she looks extra puffy
Makes me want to grab her chubby cheeks!
Chacha – scrubs are always HUGE on me, even the small sizes
. I’m so glad that I don’t have to wear them for a while lol.
We don’t have very much interesting wildlife here, probably because I live in the middle of a huge city, haha. Though the area is really urban, my campus actually has a 4-acre bird sanctuary right in the middle of it so during much of the year we see these huge white egrets overhead. Pretty neat, especially since the only other birds we see in the city are the ubiquitous pigeons.
whopping cough is easily preventable by not going to burger king…
I think I got all my vaccines again when I did the whole immigration thing. the number of needles poked into my arm was quite crazy ![]()
I remember when I went to Costa Rica, they wanted to vaccinate me for all sorts of weird things. I remember talking to the “travel nurse” at school and she said this and this and this and this. o_O Then I called the Center for Disease Control and they told me I didn’t need any of that stuff because it wasn’t a problem there. Hmm, maybe the travel nurse just wanted to cash in.
^It sounds more like a precaution. there are a lot of stuff that can be caught abroad.. o_O;;
I have no sympathy for shots since I get 7 every week
Oh the joys of allergy shots. I’m actually down to 4 shots every other week (still 7 on the weeks in between) as I gradually work up to a maintenance dose (7 shots once per month). I’ve been on them forever, but every time I get to maintenance (takes a year or two) I move and have to find a new doctor and start over.

like flesh eating bacteria, amoebas, and candiru fish that try to swim up your winky so they can feast on your urethra from the inside…
Wow Elrohwen, I would never be able to do 7 shots a week…I have an extreme aversion to getting stuck with needles. Ironically I have no problem with sticking other people though…I’m helping run a low-cost pediatric immunization clinic this summer and I’m probably going to make so many kids cry, lol.
Peppy, that is so nice of you to help out with immunizations
I’ve been having to update my shots so I can do my clinicals next month at school, and I’ve come to not mind needles so much anymore. I used to hate them, but now I really don’t care, only if it is done by a professional. Haha, I might have to tolerate some pain by other students learning how to give injections/take blood starting next month
I’M SO READY to be done with this quarter. English class is such a pain! There will be no more reading out of our novel and answering questions (THANK GOODNESS), but we are focusing one essay writing for the final. I may ask some of you for advice on writing a good introduction or something
Anyone willing to help when the time comes?
Next quarter begins June 25th. I’ll have a week off for break.. thank goodness. Second quarter classes are: Clinical Procedures I, Business, Pharmacology, and one other class I can’t remember at the moment
Oh Mike, hahaha.
Peppy and ChaCha, I used to give shots to myself for a couple years and I really liked it! No driving to the doctor every week and having to wait there (I’m supposed to wait 20min after the shot, so they can make sure I don’t die or something, but I usually only wait 5). When I gave them to myself I only had two (different docs split them up different ways – usually I had two or three, but this office is weird and breaks them into many more so I get 7). Anyway, giving them to myself really wasn’t bad. I just had to stick it somewhere with extra fat, like my thigh or hips (at the office they do back of the arm, but obviously that’s tricky to do on yourself). Too bad I can’t find any offices that allow that anymore.
I used to dislike shots, but after getting allergy shots for a while I completely stopped caring. haha Giving blood is worse though! It definitely hurts more and it would suck to have someone miss and try again.
ChaCha, I wasn’t an english major or anything, but I spent all of high school and a good portion of college writing papers so I can offer advice! I’m a pretty good proof-reader too.
I cannot do needles – eeeeek! I used to give my grandmother her insulin shots, so I don’t mind giving shots to others… just hate the feeling of something pushing into my veins. It isn’t even that it hurts a lot, it just feels so _alien_ makes my skin crawl. People hate taking my blood cause I always tense up and then the veins are useless, so they have to wait for my muscles to relax. lol I am a horrible patient. My father is so phobic of needles that when he ripped off 2 1/2 fingers at his job (they got stuck in a machine, they couldn’t sew them back on) he refused pain medication because it was in needle form, so maybe that is where I got it (though I am not that bad, if I hurt myself that badly, morphine please).
Chacha – English finals aren’t so bad. Just study up on the essay type and relax when you write it.
So long as your grammar and such are good, you usually get a passing grade. My final for Eng 101 was “Write a 5 page essay on a local news story that directly affects you.” We only got told the final topic when we entered the room to take the final. I don’t read local news, so I made 90% of it up off a passing comment I heard a classmate say about a news story they were upset over. “Clubs are banning people under 21 now? But I wanted to go to that concert.” If I can get a passing grade from that, I am sure you’ll do fine! If you are allowed time to study the topic before you write it, I am sure a lot of people here will help you.
I’m fine with needles now. I used to have to go in for a ton of blood draws, so I sort of got over it.
LoveChaCha – You can ask me any time. My professors always comment on how nice my writing is.
Sticker, your father’s story reminds me of my coworker. She’s had three kids via natural child birth just because she’s way too afraid of needles to get the epidural. She will also only go to one area hospital over the other because one sticks you with an IV the second they admit you, just in case, while the other hospital waits until it’s necessary. I can’t imagine the pain of pregnancy not trumping a fear of needles, but I guess it can!
If I ever have kids, I’ll be damned if I’ll skip the drugs lol. Load me up, doc!
I’m not the best at english questions chacha but I definitely…maybe… most likely will be able to help with your business class next semester. Besides Cosmetology which I finished, it’s my area of study.
Thank you everyone
It looks like the site that I use to get to my courses is offline. Yikes! A fellow friend and student that goes to the same college just sent an email to the IT department. I also sent one, and saved a copy of it, to cover my butt!
Today I went to the Asian grocery to pick up vegetables for Chacha. The green and red leaf lettuce was marked down to .59 each, so I got a little too excited! I picked up a 3 pack of belgian endives for 2.09!! If I bought 3 endives at my job, it is likely it would be over 3.00! O_o Bargain!
One of my coworkers wants to double date next Friday and buy me birthday drinks! Hahah! I told her as long as it is during happy hour! I took a vacation day! There is no way I am working my birthday ![]()
Went for a very early walk this morning and saw a deer in someones yard. Very strange place to see a deer, right next to a busy street. She was so beautiful. She had a little white tail and she was just staring at me, wiggling it. I hope she stays away from the road.
Wow a deer? How pretty! As John and I were driving back to Washington from a wedding in Oregon, we saw a few deer on the side of the road, grazing in the grass.
I’m currently peer reviewing 2 papers for English class. This is going a lot more faster than the start of the quarter. What a difference 8 weeks makes! I’m proud of myself! I hope that my peer reviewers do their job and peer review mine. There are a few that are known to NOT do what they are supposed to do *COUGH*. If not, I’ll ask one of my other classmates to peer review mine. I am in touch with 10 other classmates on a group, and we all are really good with turning things in on time and doing what is expected of us.
0:58 sometimes the quail break out into these little chase scenes. you almost expect the benny-hill kazoo theme to start playing
2:35 bunny says get the hell out of my way
3:00 3 baby quail start to descend down the wall from the shrub in the fence
3:50 mockingbird watching baby quail from far right fence decides which one he wants…
Great vid. I love the bunny coming down the hill and the bird shove. Even wild ones have rabbittude!
Those are some weirdo birds, they sound like guinea pigs.
What are they eating.
Ugh, home sick today. I can’t figure out if I have a sinus infection or cold, but I’m leaning toward sinus infection. It came on so suddenly on Thursday and has been getting worse every day, which is the only thing that makes me think cold. I didn’t have much going on at work that I couldn’t put off til tomorrow and I really wasn’t in the mood to sit there with a headache and stuffy nose all day. I’ve been on my computer all morning checking up on things and there haven’t been any emergencies, so I guess it’s good I didn’t go in.
I’m bumping this back up
For the past 3 days, I have been off of my medication for ADD. I did talk to my doctor about it. He was the one that mentioned it last year, but I was not ready yet. The past 2 days have been hell – tired, not motivated (but I did get my homework done! hahaha) and just want to take a nap! I woke up this morning and I don’t feel so bad. I hope it continues to look up and I don’t have to rely on medication!
I sent an email to one of the program coordinators for the program I am in. She said she will help me vote for the contest I entered – and to send an email out to everyone in my classes to help out! I am so overwhelmed by the votes and am truly grateful. I started crying yesterday because of the support!! thank you to those that voted for me
There are 10 days left, and I hope that I win.
John and I were watching the original ‘Pink Panther’ on netflix last night. Chacha bun hopped up on her little fuzzy condo and started watching as well! HAHAH XD
Disapproving cake anyone

Not sure if I want to beep his nose or eat him! ![]()
So I’m thinking I had a successful day of volunteering at my local rabbit rescue. They asked me to be their regular Thursday volunteer because they were really short-staffed so I agreed week ago. Yesterday was my first day and I was there for almost 5 hours. I took Andy with me this time or I would’ve been there longer. And we only cleaned half of the pens in one of the barns housing buns. I’m so sore but I feel like it was a good workout since my gym membership expired ![]()
Ooo that cake looks so good
I’m craving a cheesecake right now
Bahahahh LPT I love that cake!!
FrankieFlash: Nice of you to do that!!
Time to invest in some Zyrtec.Loratadine doesn’t do anything for me..
Allergies = no fun, lack of sleep, cranky me
John and I went to Del’s Farm and Feed yesterday and I asked what cut of hay that they have. They had 2nd cut stuff, which my Diva loves. I took a chance and bought a compressed bale (55lb) and guess what?! THE DIVA LOVES IT!
Goody! So now mom can save $ ![]()
I’m a little on edge right now. We just received word that there was a very sophisticated hacker that got into our school’s system. They aren’t sure yet what info has been compromised, but they worry it was identifying info and bank accounts (school keeps bank accounts on record for direct deposit).
LBJ10 Ick! That’s scary!
I’m not sure if it’s that summer is coming soon or what but the bunnies have turned crazy lately! They’re both constantly chewing on things, tearing around doing bunny 500s, and getting into mischief! This morning I heard loud ripping sounds coming from my closet and I opened the doors and there was Wilbur, sitting on a pile of my school books, shredding them apart. I’m making sure to leave out plenty of cardboard and wood toys for them!
Haha I know this sounds super hickish but this weekend is the brat fest in WI. It’s actually pretty fun ![]()
LBJ, that is frightening
I’m a bit scared of walking around my community college by myself, or at least going to the bathroom alone. There have been 2 attempts at sexual assault in the past 3 months at my school, by the SAME person. It always happens in the women’s bathroom. A mass email was sent out to the students including a description of the man. When I go to school starting on June 25th, I’m going to take a classmate with me to the bathroom. Not even joking!
Yeah, it is a bit scary that something like that could happen. It is still under investigation, so I guess we will just have to wait and see.
That’s awful LoveChaCha! We had some problems at my school where I went to undergrad. This guy would show up to school events and be walking around on campus at night. He had been accused of murdering a woman but got off on a technicality or something. The police were worried enough one night that they locked down campus.
i remember at 2nd grade activity nite,, the first time we snuck into the girls bathroom to see what it looked like…
lol, was it everything you imagined.
well, it finally happened. i got bit! my buns were scuffling and i put my hand out to block peepi from chasing after warri and he attacked my hand. it happened a few days ago and my knuckle is still red, bruised, and swollen. bunnies bite HARD!!
Yes, bunnies do bite hard! Leopold bites me all the time and he will leave bruises.
Its insane how sharp their teeth are, considering they are herbivores! I have a scar of my left palm. A few months ago, I guess my hand was still smelly after doing Olivias anal glands (despite scrubbing like 3 times) and Stormy took a deep chunk out of my hand. There was so much blood, I felt queasy.
During Bindis molt, I usually have little bruises all up my forearm. That guy doesnt like being groomed.
i keep looking at the cuts and think they’re just precious, they’re perfect impressions of his teeth!
and of course like the good bunny mom i am, i apologized to him after he bit me hehe
Yes they do bite hard. Mine have only bitten me for real once, Powder was trying to move my foot out of his way, through a blanket he left a deep purple bruise and it hurt.
Can’t imagine what would’ve happened to my foot if the blanket hadn’t been there. lol
I have a mole near my collar bone, and when squirrel was a baby and in the taste testing phase… he bit it. Now I’m missing half my mole ![]()
Had to post his adorable pic from CuteOverload. I love bunstruction! ![]()

CuteOverload also had a tribute to JFK. Many people dont know but he was an animal lover and had many pets, including a bunny named Zsa Zsa.
Well I have a new addition to my menagerie, today I travelled 2 hours to drop Ash at the bunny savvy vet to get spayed, while she was in there I went out to visit a bunny rescue sanctuary that’s about 15 minutes out of the town and had a look at the bunnies there, there was a cute fluffy boy who I was interested in and he let us walk right up to him and pick him up, poor fella was part way through moulting his old coat and looked quite rough. Had a look at a few of the other bunnies there but I kept going back to this poor fluffy fella. So I left with him. Cause I had a free vet check voucher I took him into the same vet Ash was at and he got a check over, he got the all clear and they offered to put him in their ‘day care’ so I could go do some shopping while waiting for Ash to come out of surgery and recovery.
Didn’t get home til dark so Ash went straight into her crate and is relaxing and little guy (still nameless) is in his temp housing with all the essentials, he did have a cuddle on my lap and let me pluck out a lot of dead hair from his last coat. I’ll get some decent photos tomorrow when he’s settled and some decent sunlight
@Today. Yay new bunnies!! I hope Ash and he get along, can’t wait to see pics!
And on the topic of bitting…oh man. Before getting spayed, Cinnabun got very aggressive and very…”interested” in my arms. Anytime I would be with her and petting her, she’d either start bitting or showing other feelings toward my arms. And she BITES during her amorous conquests. Hard. At one point my arms were so covered in bruises that my Professor pulled me aside one day and asked if he needed to get the police involved and if HE needed to step in and help get me away from some abuser. When I took her into the vet for pre-spay checkup both vet and vet tech were horrified at the state of my arms. ![]()
Bunjamin bit me recently but it wasn’t hard and it’s a rarity so I feel lucky
congrats toady on your new addition!
Allergies suck. And I think I’m becoming more allergic to dogs the more I’m away from them. I spent last night at my parents while I’m working in their city and I can’t believe how itchy and sneezy I am from my own dog. ![]()
I feel very lucky that my buns don’t bite! Hannah has never bitten anybody for any reason, except maybe nibbling a tiny bit too hard when she’s really excited to get a treat. She tries hard to not nip fingers, but sometimes she’s a little overzealous (it’s always very light though). She does bite Otto on the bum all the time and pull chunks of hair out.
Otto bites sometimes, but he has fantastic bite inhibition. He only bites if we’re really annoying him, like trying to pet him while he’s in his cage or maze. First he’ll push my hand away with his nose and usually I get the picture. If I don’t, he’ll bite me, but so gently that he’s barely putting his teeth on me. I definitely leave him alone then because I certainly don’t want him to learn to bite harder. It’s so sweet though – he’s angry and grouchy, but he doesn’t want to hurt anybody.
ive got an idea for a t-shirt…. a cartoon bunny doing the tv weather.
he’s pointing at the 5-day forecast weathermap behind him, and every day says “parsley cloudy with a chance of romaine”
Mike, I love it!
When Leopold bites, I don’t think he realizes he’s hurting me. He usually does it because he wants something (“I want down” or “Give me something”). I still think it is because he is deaf and he never learned to control how hard he bites.
I got my Exploratory Paper back from English. I got a 91%. My grade went up 2 points back to a A. Thank goodness T___T

Ow. I am so glad I just have freckles, not moles my boyfriend had a mole on his neck and our parrot bit it off for him. He jumped and yelled. lol I guess the pets are just giving us free surgical mole removal though…
Hahah awhhh LPT that’s what my bunnies have been doing all day…they’ve both been in a super destructive mood lately.
I don’t know what you were going to move to Boston for, but I moved from Vancouver, Washington to Boston and I’ve been wanting to live here ever since I was a kid! It’s so pretty and the people are so diverse. I hope you got a chance to visit!
That bunny is SOOOO BIG I feel like you edited it from night of the lepus rofl
lololol I forgot about this until now, but when I was deployed to Africa I worked on computers all day, and they were French as well, and I couldn’t figure some of the stuff out either! I think I googled some of it and used the character map a lot. If you open start and type “character” in the search there character map should pop up and you can keep an ‘ in your window there and the stuff you need will stay on it.
Hahahahha
Better than the commercial.
Awwww…cute Rex. ![]()
Glad to see BB forum back! -finally-
The buns have been good, put fleece in Skip’s cage for the first time and he enjoyed it! We have yet to move Snick into his level of the new nic, but Skip is enjoying it and we hope he will too! We hope to also get Snick neutered soon, as soon as we get clarification from this lady who can get us a discount. I got to see my horse this past Monday, and even with a leg injury, she cantered for me and we had a blast. We also got some new hay from her supply that my grandparents let me have for free….
)
And….. we added on ANOTHER two. Two guinea girls, Boo & Jupi. They love to popcorn and we will be building them a nic condo soon this summer. I’ll have to post pigtures!
Otherwise, all is well for us. Glad to see everyone back!
