Zeus was born sometime in February, so I celebrate his birthday on the last day of February every year. This is my second time celebrating his birthday. He’s 4 this year.
What do you guys do to celebrate your bun’s birthday? Zeus got kale and an extra treat this morning. I got some Oxbow Veggie treats, he approves
. I’ll probably give him another few treats this evening, maybe sing him his “Happy Birthday to You” song with my horrible voice this evening.

Happy Birthday Zeus!! May you get plenty of noms and worship in the coming year
He’ll be showered in them, for sure. He’s a spoiled guy.
He loves this time of year. Windows start opening, he’s got some tiles right under one of the windows. He loves to lay on them because they get extra-cool from the breeze. Or he’ll sit on the windowsill and sniff the air.

Most definitely! They may be a little dark, because I don’t get off work til 6.. but I’ll definitely snap a few photos of the birthday boy having some birthday treats.

Happy Birthday to the big bunny!!!! Can’t wait to see those pictures.Huckleberry gets an extra large plate of veggies for her birthday and sometimes a treat wrapped in newspaper. She likes ripping paper open to get to more food… or rather, she likes food. hahaha
That’s actually a really cute idea, I might have to try that.

Happy birthday, Zeus! Usually it’s a few extra treats or something they don’t normally get like a slice of banana, even more snuggles that usual (if I can get the bun to stand for that) and Mike and I singing Happy Birthday off-key. I wish Zeus liked banana, bunnies are so cute when they eat it. But he doesn’t like anything “mushy” like that. He’d much prefer dried fruit of a big leaf of kale.

I don’t do anything other than follow them around the house yelling “It’s your birfday!” Their birthday was just last week so Otto did a lot of glaring at me the whole time. Hannah loves any kind of attention, so she loves if I follow her around and fuss with her.
I know Otto’s exact birthday since I got him from a breeder. Hannah’s first owner got her from a pet store so she doesn’t know her birthday, but she was approximately 3 months old when her owner got her, so I estimated back to late Feb/early March from there.That would definitely be Zeus.
I gave him extra petting cuddles this morning and he just melted into the floor like “Awwww yeahhhh… petssssss….”

I don’t know Sammy’s for sure, so I guesstimated Sept. 1st. But on August 31st she was in such a great, playful mood, doing binkys all over and zooming and extra affectionate that I was sure that was her real birthday so I adjusted my guesstimate.
It felt right. And she gets treats, ie. nanner bites, or apple pieces, or bunny cookies, or all of them.

Yeah Zeus got an Oxbow Veggie cookie this morning, he’s surprisingly really liking them. That’s the first commercial treat he’s not turned up his nose at.

Thanks for all the bday wishes. Zeus had a good day. We spent the evening curled up on the futon, him in his designated “spot” that he always curls up on, and me petting and snuggling with him til bedtime. Then he got his bedtime meal with a few extra treats.
Celebrating his birthday, and being so thankful for having such a sweet bunny, has helped ease missing West. I posted this quote on my desk at work and it’s the attitude I’m trying to have about the last week:
“Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.”
Happy Birthday cuddly bear. West’s passing has made me ever more grateful to have you in my life. Perhaps that was her birthday gift to you and I both.
