okay so in march (***EDITED OUT DATES***) i am going over seas to visit family and everything for the LAST TIME. so i wont be going back there next year or the year after that. never. so my mom really wants me to go with her just this last time.
here is the problem: my rabbit. a rescue near me (not the rescue i adopted from; a different one) boards rabbits but i posted about that earlier and most said that it wasnt a good boarding place? or something i dont know. anyway, i have now decided to contact the rescue i adopted from and i plan on asking them if they know of any good rabbit boarding places since i am leaving, (i will be gone for 5 days. 6 days at the most – if we miss our flight back home or something but thats a rare possibility) . my question, do you think his old foster mom could board him for me? who should i contact? the actual RESCUE or his old foster mom? i was thinking of the rescue but im not sure.
my dad IS staying home to take care of the dogs but he cant take care of my rabbit. he is not an animal person and just he cant. and plus even if he could there would be no social interaction for like 5 days. my rabbit and i have bonded quite well! even though i’ve had him for around 40 days; he and i have really bonded. he begs for pets and he follows me around when i let him out of my room and he isnt scared of me or anything! i really dont want to break that bond ONE BIT. his old foster mom has 2 kids. ive only met one and she seems nice… / responsible? i dont know. both are under 13 im sure. the one i saw was probably around 9 or 10. not sure about the other one. i think the other one is a boy but i cant remember.
so who should i contact? and what should i say in the email? besides the obvious: im going out of town and blah blah. anything i should mention at all? should i mention that he used to stay in a foster home? thanks!
PS. here is a picture of him
(:
