he’s adorable! only if you have the space and money though! i’m assuming you’re a previous bun owner and don’t need to hear this just keep other factors in mind! if your situation can house a new furry friend to love then why not?(:

If you are ready to take a new bun home, by all means go for it if you think he fits. He is adorable, love the little black pattern on his fur. If you aren’t sure though, or need more time before bringing home a new baby, it’s fine to allow it !

I agree with everyone, if you’re ready emotionally, go for it. Then we’ll both have harlequins!

I am seeing him again today to make my descision! He needs a foster home, and I was thinking about fostering and deciding then. He has been in a rescue for 5 years! no one wants him! He is 6 yearss old. SO pretty old… but he is a very curious boy!

I think the fostering is a good idea! Then you can see how he will really be in your home, risk free!

Wow, can’t believe he’s been in rescue that long – poor boy! That is pretty old and you likely won’t have too many years with him, as well as the possibility of extra vet bills as he gets to his golden years, so keep that in mind when you decide (not that I am not all for adopting older pets, but some people can’t handle it and it is a financial strain to care for an older animal). But fostering is a good idea.

He is beautiful. I don’t think you should overlook him because he’s older. Senior bunnies need a home too and if everyone overlooks him, he will never get adopted. Besides 6 isn’t that old. Stormy will be 8 this year and he still runs and plays like a young bunny. Fostering is a good idea.

He reminds me of Dig-Me-Now’s Frankie. I love the little white foot.

UPDATE: So, I visited him, again. I don’t know if I mentioned, but I volunteer sometimes at the place he is (a small shelter). Anyway when I got ther to see him there as a girl interested! I was exxcitedd FOR HIM Sometimes we visit the home to make sure it’s a nice place for the bun. So the guy that worksd there went over to her house, I came with ( I asked him and said I really wanted a great home for the bunny, so he let me tag along.) When we got there she had a huge open yard (predator free- believe me, I inspected every inch!) A beautiful house, not to forget the whole room the bunny would get alone! So we left him there, at a wonderful house where her and her husband will always love “Butterscotch”

Aww, I am glad he got a good home. He deserves it after so long in rescue!

LPT – I agree seniors need love too. Powder was considered a “middle aged” boy cause he was four when I adopted him and the “average” span for bunnies is listed as 7-9 at our shelter. Well, guessed at four, he could be older for all we know – but the vet thinks he was four when we adopted him, so nearly five now. But I always caution people to consider before going into the older ones, cause they usually do require a little extra care in a few years.

That’s awesome that he got adopted!! Sad you didn’t get to foster him but as long as he went to a great place it’s still good news and that just means you get to look at even MORE adorable bunnies to adopt or foster!!

Yeah, I miss him though! Haha, I remember when I came to the shelter to volunteer the first time. I guess I overlooked him. There are so many bunneis! haha They are making a new shelter in my town. A human society. So the one shelter is going to like, merge with the humane society!
