  last week i noticed a clump of poop on my bedroom floor. i picked it up and threw it away. Tonight I checked oreo and she had poop stuck to her fur. it was flat but there were pills stuck to it to. I had to cut it away and i bathed her bottom as best i could. I also held her till most of the water off her. I also noticed changes in her eating habit in the past several weeks. she isn’t eating her veggies like she used to, actually hardly at all. I thought she was just sick of eating her favorite which is parsley. I still offer it every day. She is eating her pellets. I also feel she is drinking more water than usual. Another thing that is bothering me is there is pee on the outside of her little pan. Another thing I noticed when I was bathing her was on her hock there is a little red mark where she would bend her leg. she seems to be hopping fine, gong up and down the steps as she always has.
  
  Not sure if this has anything to do with the advice I receive but she is a free range rabbit and so is her son. he seems to be doing fine.

  I would take her in for a check up. Changing eating and litter habits like that can very well indicate illness.

  I would take her for a check up because poopy butt isn’t normal in a rabbit. My rabbit does getting poopy butt but he is disabled with cancer. Its best to take him to the vet to make sure he is ok. Keep us updated!

  Definitely a vet trip. I would have them check her teeth – this sometimes can cause poopy butt too.

  I agree with the vet trip! Is there anything different in Oreo’s diet? It’s surprising how any small change can make a huge difference to them. Even a different kind of treat can upset their little systems.
  I know that when BunBun has gotten a UTI (urinary tract infection) or his bladder sludge is bothering him, he gets weird about eating and drinks more water. He doesn’t stop eating the way they do during GI stasis or bouts of gas, but he is somehow less enthusiastic. Just picks at his greens rather than gobbling them down- sounds like Oreo is doing the same. Especially with the fact that she peed outside the litterbox, I would want the vet to rule out a UTI.
  She might have a sore bum from poopy butt too- BunBun used to have messy poop a lot and his peeing habits would change- I think it might hurt them to pee so they do strange things like holding it for a long time or going outside their box, etc. Also, about the red mark on her hock- Bun had something like that when he got poopy butt! I wonder if their skin gets irritated very easily if they step in poo, or maybe they bite it off of their legs themselves and cause the red marks.
  Good luck with Oreo at the vets- it’s probably something easily taken care of .
