He can definatley be trained before he is neutered. I think it is better to do it as soon as possible so he doesn’t start developing bad habits that will be harder to break the longer you wait. Even if he is littertrained he may still spray to mark his territory until you get him neutered, but it depends on how old he is.
It depends on how much he poops/pees and what type of litter you are using in regards to how often you change it. I made a screen for the litter box, so now I don’t have to change it as often. The poops sit on top, and I scoop those out and throw them away. and then the pee under the screen gets scooped out every couple days and replaced with fresh litter. I only really give the whole box a cleaning once a week. I am totally in love with the screens for the litterbox! they help to save a lot of litter!
