Have you ever gotten a second opinion about this medical problem that makes him unable to be neutered?

Also some of this behavior is age related.

Totally understand that.

I only really have one suggestion and that is for the carpet problem. My bun is a carpet chewer too so when I’m someplace like my parents and he’s locked up on carpet, I opened up (removed staples) from a big box and layed if flat then put it underneath his pen. It works as a barrier, if he chews that you will hear it before he gets to carpet and if you get it one solid piece, my bun hasn’t bothered it while in the pen.

For the carpet, is it the carpet in the bunny room or the carpet in the rest of the house when you let him out to play? If it’s the bunny room, you could place something over the carpet – cheap linoleum, vinyl carpet protector, etc and NIC cube off the edges so he can’t chew the flooring. For out and about, a spray bottle of water is the best way to stop it.

For the bed… what I did was since our bed frame is wood, we got a piece of untreated wood paneling and had it cut to size at home depot, then tacked it up to the frame, effectively turning it into a box bed and the one side that is open is against the wall. Another thing you could do is get cardboard boxes and weight them so he can’t move them and put them under your bed so he can’t get in there. Or, attach the x-pen to the bed frame with zip ties so he can’t move it.

For the doors, Powder is the same way, so instead of even closing doors I just baby gate off closets and stuff, it’s more secure than a door that doesn’t close as securely as the front/back doors do.

The humping uh… can’t help there, but with dogs sometimes a smell or something can set them off, maybe something you have on you is “exciting” him?

Unfortunately I have no experience with humping bunnies, but as far as destruction goes, I feel your pain! Some rabbits are just naturally more destructive than others and often nothing you can do can really get that habbits out of them. You will have to accept your bunny for who he is and prevent him from gaining access to things you don’t want him nibbling on. He probably won’t stop untill there is nothing left of the carpet Remember that ingesting unnatural substances (like carpet fibres) could be fatal for Riley, since rabbits cannot vomit, so be very weary of this.

Although rabbits do not completely grow out of it like dogs do, their chewinng does get better with age most of the time, so just be patient with Riley and remember to always be nice to your rabbit, no matter how naughty he is.
