Ok so I’ve only ever had one rabbit (Pikachu) and we’ve had him around 10 months now, the thing is he never seems to sleep? Like I said I’ve never owned a rabbit before so I’ve never really known how they sleep, but Pikachu only ever seems to sit (not sitting up-right but sitting crouched down) with his ears back and eyes partly open. He does this in the mornings and throughout the day until about 7pm when he ‘wakes up’. Is that him sleeping? Because his ears still move around to noises and eyes flicker and open again when things are going on around him.
The reason I ask now is because I think I’ve just seen him actually sleeping!
He was running around for ages then he flopped in the corner he usually ‘sleeps’ in and laid his head flat against the floor and ears back with his hind legs out behind him and his eyes full closed. He only did it for about 15 minutes but its something I’ve never seen him do before. He’s never complately relaxed and sleepy like that.
Can anyone shed any light on my confusion?
