The HRS in Richmond is really a great center. They also have wonderful seminars and classes, so if you haven’t gotten on their mailing list, you should. I’ve been to their classes and seminars on behavior, t-touch, clicker training, health, etc. They have great stuff for people just learning as well as more extensive classes that keep the educated person even more well-informed. My very first time ever doing bonding (bunny dating for my bunny!) was there as well, and it was a wonderful experience.
They also have boarding (or they used to at least). I didn’t have to worry about boarding in while as I have been able to find a decent pet or house sitter, but when I couldn’t it was a great place to board my bunnies when I had to go on vacation and I felt like they would really understand what to watch out for healthwise. I am not sure where you are located but there is another great rescue as well http://www.SaveAbunny.org that also does bonding and boarding, etc, if you need that in the future.
We are really lucky here in the Bay Area, there are an amazing amount of good rabbit rescues here!!
