As many of you may know (or may not, idk haha) Nava is free roam but she has her own “space”, which is her pen (that’s because she also shares the room with me, rats, dogs and an annoying cat).

I was wondering if anyone could give me any ideas on how to change up her pen a bit, maybe with some pics of your free roam bunny set ups?

        Thanks guys.

I change up boxes pretty often, we have a membership to BJ’s (like Costco or Sams) and they always have a TON of boxes for you to take your groceries home in. I pick out good ones for the bunnies haha I also have a cement form for a tunnel, I cut it in half and cut a door halfway through one so the both play in those. Occasionally I stuff a “special” hay in there like oat or botanical, they get a kick out of that too. Lets see, what else. Oh, I have a mini haven from Binky Bunny, but I took off the top and the inside separators, and I set those up in Ladys pen by hooking the little cut out on the xpen, it makes a little hole that Lady loves to dive through hah. Oh and Samson has a cardboard cat house that he loves laying in, I got it from walmart.

Hmm well for my rabbits’ “personal space” they have claimed underneath my bed so I put a rug, an extra hay bin, cardboard box, and a towel over this long bin they love to lay on. Their other personal spaces are in the 2 maze havens, cottontail cottage, and random cardboard boxes which I have placed around in the areas of the house where they are allowed so they can escaped to them if they feel like it, and they often do lol The cottontail cottage in my room is their castle. I also have tunnels for them and pet beds.

To see some good habitat set ups (free roam can just have the doors left open if you like one that’s optional) check out the BinkyBunny Gallery. There’s a section dedicated to habitat photos. Some really cool ones.

I live in a one bedroom apartment, so space is pretty tight. Also, my camera is broken (CURSES!), so I can’t take pics, but I’ll tell you Hazel’s setup. I have an xpen in the corner of my living room that is open at all times (I basically don’t need it). I put a fleece blanket down, and there is a large cage inside the xpen (one from a pet store that’s actually too small for a bun to live in full time). Hazel just uses the pet cage inside the xpen as a place to nap, and the door to it is always open too. There is also a litter box inside the xpen and also inside the pet cage itself. I cut a hole in the side of a laundry basket and flipped it over, then covered the top with a sheet to give her more traction if she jumped up on top. She loves going inside the basket, and she usually does a lot of blanket digging inside. It’s nice because it gives her a good hiding place. Her food/water dishes are in the xpen too.
But Hazel also loves my bedroom, so I have 2 litterboxes in there that she uses, and she sleeps on a footstool at the end of my bed when I go to bed for the night (*squee, so adorable that she follows me in there!*). She also chews on some cardboard boxes underneath my bed, and I have various toys for her scattered around. She loves boxes, so making tunnels with them is a great way to keep her entertained (she even rearranges and flips them over!)
Other than that, she roams around the apartment doing who knows what; I’m just lucky because she doesn’t really chew or dig anything. And she’s a couch bunny, and usually just sits by me all evening when I’m at home =) *bunnylove*
