would it be okay if a 5 month old rabbit ate adult rabbit food instead of pellets based on alfalfa? i didnt know that i was going to get a young rabbit so i just bought some oxbow pellets for adult rabbits. i also got a huge bale of bermuda hay (not alfalfa)
since he is almost 6months would it be okay if he started eating adult pellets? he got neutered today and i will be adopting him on saturday. also, since he is sort of young should i limit his pellets? or give him free flow? i mean he did get neutered today and is on adult pellets so should he really have free flow of pellets? oh and when i first bring him home, what should i do with the food? should i give it to him at night? or should i have the food available before he comes home?
one more thing thats a bit off topic., does this rabbit look like a mini lop? his ears dont seem to hang down the side of his head when someone pets him or something. but he does “relax” them when someone is holding him. his foster mom sent me a picture of him when he was younger and his ears were down (completely) but his ears dont seem to do that anymore? heres a pic. (warning; horrible quality)
