Stickers LOVES to dig carpet… like, I have all the carpet corners covered by boxes and such cause she will not stop digging up the carpet lol is there any safe carpet like fabric I could give her in a dig box, to kind of give her a way to dig that is safe? She won’t dig paper, or hay, or fleece blankets. I keep making her new dig boxes and she gets in them, sees they aren’t as fun, then leaves them alone. But I don’t want her to ingest any carpet fibers. Or maybe some safe way of giving her something like dirt to dig? I think she’d like making a mess like that, but I know dirt carries germs/parasites.

          Will she dig in hay?

Dirt actually sounds fun, I can’t think of a way to make it not a huge mess hah. Maybe buy a large cement form, block up the ends with more cardboard, cut a couple holes in the top, stabilize it so it doesn’t roll, and then fill with a few inches of clean (can you bake dirt? ) dirt? Then place on a front door mat hah…

I don’t mind the mess, their room is wood so it would just be sweeping it up lol the hay is already all over the floor thanks to their kicking it around … I just want SAFE dirt and can’t think of a way to get that? And no she won’t dig in hay … only thing I can find she will dig is carpet and it’s an obsession!

Mine has his own carpet ( one is a bathroom rug and another is a cheap non fuzzy walmart rug ) in his habitat but nope, he won’t tear it up, dig, or chew it. He rather have me lose my deposit

I don’t know if sand is safe, but they sell sand at places like home depot or walmart, basic beach-like sand they put under pools.

I googled, it looks like you can microwave or oven bake dirt to sanitize it
