Oo I like this thread, I’m curious to what other pets rabbit lovers have. Some of these are family pets but the bunnies, Lucky, and Foudini are mine.

          Rabbits: Wilbur and Totoro
          Dog: Luna
Guinea pig: Skimble (he’s my sister’s)
          Cats: Lucky and Mew

          Mali Uromastyx Lizard: Goomba
Horses: Foudini and Magic (Magic is my sister’s)

My plans for 2012 are to work really hard, hope I get into a good college, go to Japan and New Zealand this summer, and try to enjoy my last year of high school (I am so scared to finally be “grown up”, move out, and having to worry about all kinds of adult stuff lol).

If you do get a ferret, remember htey are carnivores and make sure they and the bunnies do not share the same space.

Well, if you want “a” ferret then you should adopt another one too because ferret is social animal like rats, mice, chinchillas, and guinea pigs.

And second of all, if you are going to college next year… Who will watch over all of your pets? I read many comments on Craigslist and went to animal shelters to find these animals were giving up because parents won’t take care of their kids’ kids. It isn’t my opinion. It is a “fact” because these people don’t have time or dealing with bills while these pets are around.
The parents rather to deal with paying their kids apartment rent, tuition, food, and etc while their kids are in colleges. Do you think it is fair for your current and new pets?

Pets are not cheap if need to go to vet. You have chinchillas and other pets. I’m assuming that you won’t have enough money to cover the vet bills if at least two of your pets suddenly will get sick. I could be wrong if your parents are rich and can spoil you all you want. Then never mind about money part.

Well I have Bunjamin, the bunny He’s the only one that goes to “my place”.
At my parent’s house I have a dog named Lucy but she’s heavily bonded to my mom’s dog, Neela so she stays with my parents.
My mom and sister each have a cocketiel but they’re bonded too.
And then we have 2 (lately 3) semi-ferral cats that live in garage in winter and deck in summer. They found us the day before thanksgiving a momma cat and her one kitten were eating out of our trash. We fed them some bologna and the rest is history! She also had 5 kittens that winter before we got her fixed that we re-homed. They both been fixed but are too wild to have an indoor home plus me and my dad are allergic.
And currently there’s an extra dog at my parent’s house- it’s my brothers beagle.
Surprisingly, I think that’s the least amount of pets that’s been at my parents house at one time.

My plans are to finish up taking credits at the local community college and transfer to my BA school. I also plan on moving (again) to a apartment or another condo/house for rent. Our current one doesn’t allow pets and I’m paranoid they’re going to find out about Bunjamin.

Just the buns and the dog. We’ve had other pets over the years, the house seems so empty at the moment.

My plans for 2012 include getting my masters thesis done. Unfortunately, I haven’t been doing very well with that. My drive is gone and I procrastinate way too much.

1 rabbit, 1 tarantula (had for 5 years!), 3 betta fish, 1 cat, and a dog, who gets to go with me to college next fall. I won’t even talk about the number of animals at my parent’s house. I think we are finally nearing the 40 mark (and that is a number that is going down!). Maybe I will make a thread about it once I get my new camera. I will take pictures of everyone!

I also have about 10 different species of aquatic plants, and I would love to expand upon that collection in the next year. Unfortunately, I don’t know of many non chain fish stores that are freshwater instead of salt. Maybe some day I will just have to open one myself!

Have you tried pond supply stores? Some of them carry some pretty fancy plants that are meant for fish ponds. Unless those would be too big. I guess it depends on how big your tank is.

Alas, the pond store near me only sells Water Hyacinth. I do have access to Water Lily bulbs, but they tend to get bigger than I have room for right now. On my one riparium (if I dare even call it that, lol) I have some lucky bamboo.

The other problem with pond plants is that many are plants that do better in colder water (as ponds are typically not heated, or if they are, it is only to prevent freezing!), so the plants would not do good in my 80-84* water. I already went through that with my anacharis, where it nearly all melted when I accidently let my water get up to about 86*. 😮

I just have the two rabbits at the moment, but we’re hopefully getting a dog this summer. I’ve contacted a breeder I love and she’s going to breed this month or the next and hopefully her dog has a nice large litter.
