Okay, this has to be the weirdest chain of sickness I’ve ever had. First, I couldn’t go to work becaue I came down with Laryngitis, that took over a week, then I catch the flu, can’t go to work, another week or so, then, I wake up with the worst pain I’ve felt in my life and was vomiting all night long wednesday into the early morning, my husband takes me over to the hospital around 6:45am and I’m still vomiting in there, ew! They checked me for a looooot of different stuff. I was in there for about 9 hours by this point when they did a CT scan and found out my appendix was inflammed and needed to be removed immediately. I never had surgery before so I was like HUH?! In the hospital recovery for 2 days, went to my husband’s house for 1 now I’m at my parent’s for the week. I feel sad because I am unable to take care of Ralphy I can barely move. I’m hoping my husband and his sister are taking above average care of him and not forgetting to give him his much needed medicine on time.

Ugh, very frustrated, I’ll be down for weeks. Anyone else get their appendix removed?

I haven’t, sorry you are having so much trouble. Hopefully now that the appendix is out, you can recover and not be plagued by anymore illnesses for a while!

Oh man, I havent had my appendix removed but my friend went through the same thing (vomiting all night, went to the hospital, surprise! you need surgery). I visited her while she was recovering and she seemed like she was in a lot of pain. Sorry you had to go through all that! hopefully this is the last of the sick days for awhile *crossing fingers*

My sister had to have her appendix out. She was vomiting all day and by the evening she was vomiting blood. She went to the doctors, who sent her straight to the hospital to have her appendix out.

I hope you feel better soon!!

Sounds like you’ve had a really rough time! I had my appendix out when I was 16 and it took about 2 weeks before I could move a bit, and even longer before I could move normally. Mine burst though…so I was cut really open, so if you had keyhole surgery it would be a different experience.

With so many sicknesses coming along so fast, you might have a low immune system. I always get sick around this time of the year because it’s such a busy, busy time, and I don’t take enough time to myself. Sound familiar?

I hope you feel better soon, and that you have a bit of a rest! I’m sure your parents will take good care of you. 🙂

You’ve been through a lot but it sounds like you’re over the worst of it. Let your parents nurse you, and let hubby and sis nurse the bunny and try not to worry. Get the much needed rest because you have to rebuild your strength to make a full recover.

I had my appendix out at 32. It’s kind of a long icky story so I will only say that it made a huge difference in my life and I am better for it.

, my hubby just had his appendix out in nov. they madr three holes and he was out of work for three weeks….they wanted him to stay out for 4 weeks but he bargained with the doc. found out he had diabetes so it was good that he had to go to the hospital…cause there was no other way we would ever get him to go unless he was in a ton of pain….

Hubby had his taken out too.  He never vomited but he was in severe pain doubling over. I said don’t wait go to the hospital NOW

The problem was discovered and removed.     I dont’ remember him being laid up oh yes I do.  HE was undergoing another surgery to remove the cancer from his tonsil and getting chemo.    So I don’t know if it will help not knowing how he did with the appendix cuz of the cancer.  HE was in hospital 8 days
