Most likely the new location is the reason and he is getting used to the shadows, smells, etc…in the location. Kind of like us, when we sleep in a new place we have to get used to all this as well before we feel comfortable enough to nod off to sleep.

It sounds like it was just the new location. 70 should be nothing for a rabbit, even one that is used to higher temps. Is his pen set up the same as it was before? Is all his stuff in the same location? That would help him settle faster. Was there a radio or other noise that he was used to in his former location that you could replicate in your bedroom? He should adjust pretty quickly, especially if he knows you are close by!

My buns don’t like rooms to be totally dark, you could see if a night light would settle him as well. Their room is on a dimmer switch and I leave it at the lowest, so it is really dark, but enough light to just barely see, kind of like moon light. If it gets totally dark Stickers tends to thump at every noise.

I understand where your coming from about a year ago i moved my bunny permentaly to my bedroom. With her old cage I had she kept me up most nights. Most nights for 4 hours I would be up. I think my rabbit liked me getting out of bed at 3 am turning the light on and paying attention to her. The reason she kept me up all night is because hse lived in a xpen with the plastic mat underneath. She would chew massive holes in the bottom causing me to get up. I don’t really remember sunshine keeping me up alot when I moved her to my bedroom or thumping alot. I had to build her a new cage and now she doesn’t keep me up at night. I hope things do get better for you. I know sleepless nights are not fun. Try to ignore the bunny because she will get use to you getting up with her at night. I tried to annoy sunshine. Because she loved when mommy would get up and play at 3 am!

I live in FL, too, and 70 is just fine. (I prefer that to 80 and so does a bunny, actually.)

Did you move him to accommodate visitors to your house or decorations? Either way, he is hearing new noises, either inside or outside, from his new location in your room. It’s the beginning of vacation weekend and weeks for a lot of my neighbors here, and with the nice weather we have many more folks coming down for Season. Plus, there are people driving around during the night because they go out and party. So Sammy often stops in her tracks and sometimes thumps when I realize it’s a car outside. Or kids in the street playing. Bunnies hear 10x better than we do, so they get scared.
