My husband and I are making a pretty sudden move to Texas and we cannot take our bun, Dauphine, with us. There are a few reasons for this, main ones being the trip itself will be hard on her (she HATES the car) and the person who we will be living with has 4 very rowdy dogs. I love her and it hurts so bad to leave her behind, but I want her to be a HAPPY bunny and I know the sounds of dogs constantly barking, being locked into one small room and dealing with the heat will make this all but impossible. I want her to go to a good home, with people who will love her. She is used to getting lots of attention, plenty of treats and toys.

If you are near and interested then here is a bit of extra info-

Dauphine is about a year old, I think she may be a norwiegan because she’s pretty large (about six pounds) and she’s albino. I have potty trained her (though you may need to remind her about the potty when you get her home, she isn’t fixed so she’ll mark territory with poos). She is extremely affectionate, I have spent entire nights up with her petting and playing, the only thing is that she doesn’t not like to be held at all. If you have to pick her up for any reason I’d be careful but quick, she just cannot stand being off the ground.

Please message me if you are interested, I came here because this is a community of people who truely love these wonderful creatures. I’ve never in my life had a sweeter companion and I know that if you give her the love and respect she deserves, she’ll show you all of the love and affection she’s shown me.

          Hello

Where in Oregon are you? I ask because in the Portland area, you can contact the Rabbit Advocates to see if someone can foster your little bun until she finds her forever home. RA is wonderful, but they don’t always have room Their website is http://www.adoptarabbit.org

OHS, the Oregon Humane Society, in Portland, is great too. They have a small animal room, and don’t euthanise unless it’s a serious health issue they can’t fix. Call them up as well, if needed. http://www.oregonhumane.org

Hope it works out for you!

No problem I volunteer at both, so I can promise if you use either, I’ll end up meeting your lovely bunny and giving her lots of loves until she finds a home

Neither of the places you suggested are able to take her soon enough, one has a waiting list of like 20 rabbits.

I’m getting verry worried, if there is anyone who could foster her or take her in please let me know.

Oh dear I was afraid that would happen I’m at my limit for buns in the house, or I would take her myself. I’ll check around for other rescues in the area.

Edit: Try the Oregon House Rabbit Society, http://www.oregonhouserabbitsociety.org/ All contact info should be on that page.

2nd Edit: Red Barn Rescue is good as well http://www.redbarnrabbitrescue.org/
