I just wanted to post because I am very sad and wanted to speak to someone.

I know breeding isn’t a topic that is allowed on this forum, but this wasn’t planned.

My bunny Daisy gave birth to three baby bunnies on October 20th, which was 8 weeks ago yesterday. It was unintentional because we actually thought our other bunny, Amy, was a girl. He has now been neutered for 9 weeks and Daisy is due to be spayed on December 30th. We seperated/weaned the babies from Daisy a week ago (7 weeks old) because she started mounting all of them.

We had be debating whether we should keep on the babies or find them a knew home. At first we decided we would keep them all, then we figured we didn’t have the space or money for 5 rabbits so we decided to find them new homes, and then we decided we would keep one of them..

Today was the day that two of the three went to their new home.  Seeing them from day one to eight weeks has really made me fall in love with them and bond with them. I really did not want to give them up today. I’m really going to miss them.

I’m sorry this is probably against forum rules but I just needed to talk..

Anyway this is a picture I took of them yesterday. The one at the back with the white line on his head is the one we have kept. He hasn’t got a name yet, as we didn’t want to name them know they might be going. Also, we plan to get him, (we think he is a he) neutered when he is old enough.

This picture makes me very sad actually.

        Thank you for reading/listening.

Awh I’m sorry! I know it’s sad, at least you can know that you did what is best for them and that you cared enough to actually go through with it, something that’s not easy. Hugs to you, it will get better.

I know how you feel! I fostered a little baby bunny this summer and after a few months he had to go to the shelter. It was really sad, but I knew he would be much better somewhere else as I already had two bunnies and didn’t have the time for another one. “”Hugs”””

              Thank you bunnyfriend and mocha200!
I’m going to really miss them. I’ve just got to focus a lot of attention on the bunny we kept. We’re not going to start bonding until after he’s been neutered, so he’ll be able to see my other two bunnies but he wont have very much interaction with them.

I love the little white noses

Just think of how much more love you can give your remaining bunnies now, I am sure they won’t mind
