What a scare! We almost lost Peppergirl this weekend. She’s always been the high maintenance bunny ever since she was little. I had her when she was 6 weeks and I’ve lost count the times I’ve had to take her to the vet. A couple of weeks ago, she wasn’t eating/pooping but after a day she was fine. Well, the past week she had the same problem. I decided to wait a day before bringing her in. BAD IDEA!  Her tummy was so bloated and she was on her third day of not eating/pooping. I did the usual, give her meds (doctor gave me from previous visits), gave her simithicone, massaged her tummy and nothing.  The doctor had to give her an IV and she stayed in for several hours. After the IV and force feeds, she finally pooped… She is now on antibiotics for 7 days. The doctor suggest to stop giving her veggies, so I will gradully lessen it daily.

Here’s a picture of her after her first visit. The doctor put a cone on her since they left the catheter in.

Vibes for Pepper. What a cute picture – she looks completely disapproving.

Poor little girl. She looks very disapproving of that cone.
