We picked up Leonard (see welcome section) on Monday. My friend came over yesterday and we were adding a level to Panda Bear’s c&c cage for Leonard to live in.  I read that a female has a good chance of bonding and living with a fixed male so we planned to fix Leonard and introduce them.  PLANNED.

Here is what happened.  We built it, and my friend picked up Panda to check her toes (my friend is a very expericed when it comes to buns and panda is a brat to pick up.) anyway. Dana picked up Panda, flipped her over and she is a HE.  Some time in the last month his balls dropped, and she is a he. hahahaha.  The breeder I got him from primised a girl and checked him a million times and I trusted her. Now I feel very let down.  I love him now so he is mine but dang haha.

SO. Now I have an apointment next Friday to fix them both ahahaha.

Uh-oh :~) It could be very easy to bond 2 neutered males…make sure you post in the bonding section when you are ready and we’ll help get you through it!

Thats great that you’re getting them both fixed!
I do have a question about their cage scenerio though, would you want to post photos? It sounds like you’re going to have one rabbit live on top of the other?

that happened to me but I found out when I went to get his nails trimmed. I know at first it’s a little I wouldn’t say disappointing but shocking and weird to adjust to calling her a him. I made jokes that he must’ve been crabby bc I was calling him a she. I wish you the very best with the bonding process. One day I’ll be in your spot

this is the cage when my piggies were up top, we put a second row and at lid up and supported it, and he will live up top.  once i bond them if i can, i will cut a hole and connect the two cages into one.

Hahaha I think that happens a lot, the humane society said Wilbur was a boy but she’s not. Good luck with the bonding!

I would put them side by side. He may not like having to be picked up every day to be let out for play, and be picked up again to be put home.

he enjoys being picked up and snuggled.
