I have a 5 day break (with almost no homework heehee) and I wanted to take full advantage of it to bond Wilbur and Totoro, even though it was a couple days earlier than I planned. Their first bonding session was today in the the bath tub. I think it went pretty well. First Wilbur humped Totoro’s head and then Totoro kept trying to hump Wilbur, she wouldn’t tolerate it though haha and thumped at him. No grooming yet, but Totoro kept asking her to groom him. Both of them forgot most of their litter box habits (well Totoro’s aren’t so great either) while they were together, but I expected that. No agression yet, keeping my fingers crossed. Is grooming necessary for a bond to be created? How much of the humping should I interefere with or let them work it out themselves, of course always stopping from them humping each other’s heads, (for them to figure out who is going to be more dominant)?
Here are some pics, excuse the poor iPod quality and their mess lol. I sat in the tub and they started climbing on me, probably searching for treats.
