So I’m not activiely bonding Samson(spayed female) and Lady(unspayed female), but occasionally when one is out and the other is in her pen, they would lay nose to nose in a battle of wills for anywhere to a couple minutes to a half an hour, and it usually ended with a frusterated nip or just a turned back. (I’d be sitting next to them petting noses and I guess simulating grooming). I came back from the movies tonight and was told that Samson groomed Lady for like, 20 minutes! I sat with them again and this time they did both groom each other, nothing long but they both did a couple kisses extra. I gave a couple shredded carrots and pet and said positive things while they did it, but now I’m wondering whats next? I know there is a chance that Lady will get hormonal and change and not be bonded, so I don’t want to leave them alone together, but can I let them keep bonding through the bars of their pens?
