This vet was recommended by the HRS website, I believe, and did Olive’s spay (he even took her home overnight afterwards as part of the fee–kinda glad he did that, as it took the stress off of me directly post-op). He is a very good vet, and I got a certificate voucher from my humane society for a free vet check up, which is exactly what I took advantage of in this case. He says the bunny can be weighed for free in six months, and if I really want to, I can have him seen again at that time, but it’s really not necessary unless something else happens to be going on with the rabbit like the signs and symptoms I mentioned in my previous post.
Oh… Olive is the bossiest bunny I’ve known with regard to other rabbits–and while she grooms Simon (and funnily, it doesn’t work the other way around) she also shoves him around quite a bit, but he’s so retiring and mellow, he just lets her. They had to work out that it was ok for Simon to be in her space, and once Olive realized that, they’ve been good friends. They now are rarely out of each other’s sight for long.
