So…….. last week I noticed his nose was wet on top of the left side. I thought he had his little tongue there wiping the water from the water dish.
I kept an eye on it. Then Saturday I leaned back on the couch to get my reading glasses. I squished him. He jumped up rubbed his noselike crazy like he did his lip when it got bumped.
I picked him up held him loved him told him I was sorry and I heard 1 snort of congestion. I called for an appmnt and got one w/his new vet for today monday.
As of sunday there was a little crusty and I could see his nose was running. The neighbor and I took a good look. So when I picked him up today to go to the vet I could hear a lot of congested snorting. Was so worried.
Peddling to the vet I kept saying God don’t let him die let him breathe good. I was really worried. Got to the vets took him out of his carrier and no more snorting congestion. Wha??? A relief anyway.
His eye was a little crusty too. So I agreed lets do the xray in case it is his teeth. Well he wiggled n squirmed so much the xray wasn’t as good as it could have been. The vet showed it to me pointed things out and that his lungs are clear and his teeth look good. HE is 80% sure it isn’t his teeth. He also looked inside his mouth with the tiny tool they have.
We agreed on Baytril. If that doesn’t clear it up in 7 days then he will have to sedate squirmy so he can get a very good clear xray. Or his lip thing is coming back.
I doubt that. Hope not. I think going thru peri menopause it was real windy n nice n cool last week. I would get cold shut the windows. Start sweating open the windows etc. all day. Cotton could have caught a cold from that. He may have been in drafty spot.
This rabbit once I save $ for something I been trying to do for 2 years I gotta spend it on him. The ins. should cover this tho. Hope so. Today was 217.00 on top of the other 50.00 post dated checks til march. Oh yi. The $ I just got done putting in my savings has to go to the vet now.
Either its the pet fee or Cotton Boo McChew having an issue. Poor boo. Time to give him his baytril. Lets see how this goes.
