About 2 monthes ago i just bought Riley { my rabbit } a superpet cage and its already small for him….He’s not growing anymore but with his litter box , hay , dishes , and a couple of little toys its too crowded. I am only in my teens so I don’t have a whole room to give to him ,I share my room with him. He does get outside of his cage for about 1-2 hours each day . The only thing is , is that he doesnt have much room in his cage to laydown. I do own a playpen and had it hooked up, but it took up too much room…Any ideas? Anyone that has any ideas , PLEASE REPLY! Thank you !

I too am in my teens and share a room with one of my rabbits. Superpet cages are definitely too small. What I did is bunny proofed my room and then put a cheap baby gate in the doorway. If you did the same thing you could leave Riley’s cage open and let him run around 24/7 in your room. 1-2 hours of exercise is just too little, especially since he can’t really lay down in the cage either, the rest area needs to be at least 8 square feet and tall enough for a rabbit to fully stand upright.

I second what bunnychild said. Easiest way to bunnyproof a room I think is to buy NIC panels and line your room with them, blocking off cords, under the bed etc
