Christmas discussions do not happen with me until after my birthday ![]()
I miss Halloween! Christmas is trying to defile me already.
The things I like about the three last months is because: October=Halloween, November=Thanks Giving, December=Christmas!!! He he!
I love winter, time to put on my boots
!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
I totally missed Halloween. I dont know what happened but one minute I was saying “We should totally do something this year” and then the next I was saying “Oh heck, we forgot to buy candy…. oh HECK! We forgot Halloween!!!!”
For Thanksgiving, I have already decided on making avocado pie for both my family and bf’s family.
For Christmas, I am just praying that we will have enough money to buy gifts for our families. Which makes me ask….
ANY VERY CHEAP GIFT IDEAS?!!!!!!!
For New Years, well, I am expecting a repeat of Halloween… I really want to do something this year but I feel that I will miss it
Huckleberry: The same thing happens to me every year!
I’m really excited for winter and all the holidays that come with it this year, I don’t know why, it’s really cheesy but I just love the general happy/warm feeling you get during those times. I’m so excited to see family for Thanksgiving and Christmas! My family also celebrates St. Nick’s Day on December 6 just for fun, where you put out your boots at night and in your parents secretly fill them up. I know I’m a little old now for it but my mom always puts candy and other snacks, tangerines, and a larger present (when I was 8 I got a barbie, last year I got an iPod lol). Does anyone else do this too???
Winter can kiss my rear.
Bhahahahh Monkeybun, I live in Wisconsin, definitely know how you feel!
I’m in Wisconsin too. I’m one of the crazy ones that loves winter though. It probably helps that I’m a snowboarder and my husband and 2 daughters ski.
Thanksgiving is done at our house with just my parents and I do all the cooking. We will be going to my in-laws in Chicago for Christmas this year.
Lol. I am in WI too. winter is ok, but I spend most of it indoors away from the cold!
I LOVE Thanksgiving and Christmas time! I love it when the whole family is together! I also Love black friday shopping!
working 60+ hour weeks until shopping season is over…
Holidays: No Thanks for me
It is NOvember – which means no moving from my room for anything. BRB, BUSY waiting/playing awesome games/DVD’s coming out this month ![]()
None of you are allowed to complain about winter until you’ve lived in New Brunswick.
I love Thanksgiving! Hands down my favorite holiday ever, mostly because it’s all about the food 😉 I like Christmas for the same reason, but I don’t like the gift giving part – we’re really not gifty people since everyone in my family just buys the stuff they want throughout the year and none of us likes getting random things that just become clutter. DH and I should be easy this year since we just bought a house and have house stuff to buy (ya kitchen aid mixer!). The parents are so hard though.
For Thanksgiving, DH and I are taking the bunnies and going to Pittsburgh to see my parents. My mom has redone their kitchen and upstairs since I was last home, so I’m excited to see it all – the kitchen was the same for almost my entire childhood, other than some paint updates, so it’ll be really different. I hope I can hang out with some of my high school girlfriends while I’m home – one still lives in town and the others might be coming home.
We’re doing Christmas at my new house! My sister-in-law and mother-in-law are coming in, along with my parents. I think we might need to buy some more beds though – we have two guest rooms, but only one queen bed so not much room for people to stay with us (unless they sleep on air mattresses)
Speaking of winter-esque-ness, Tipsy just decided to check out my winter hats I decided to take out today because it is getting very cold today. So she ventured into the beanie my sister knitted me and found out that there was no way out! Luckily she didnt panic, and luckily, I had my camera with me. I have found out rather quickly, to have my camera on my at allllll times of the day!
I don’t even want to think about Christmas until after Thanksgiving. Sadly, my store is almost all done putting up all of their Christmas stuff. So. much. glitter…
LOL LPT! We probably dont have it as bad as you.
Still, Its such an extreme switch here in Oklahoma. Its 90 one week and 40 the next. Last week I was walking around in sun dresses. This week its below freezing almost every night.
Last night was great! BF and I went to a friend’s house and pulled out his large fire pit. He had some old fence posts he wanted to burn. We made a huge fire with those and some logs he picked up from the gas station. We had some hot dogs and beers. It was pretty chilly out but the fire made it so much fun!
HAHHA Tipsy!!
I’m definitely looking forward to the holidays myself…yay for school breaks!
Oh my, Tipsy, that made me laugh!!! ![]()
Hahaha, that picture cracks me up.
I just showed DH and he saw, “Aww, help a bunny out! He’s just little!” LOL
HAHAHAHA Tipsy Bunny. That made me laugh.
It gave me an idea, making bunny beanies! with ear holes! hahahaha if only I could knit, that would be the cutest darn thing!
Lol!
I have plans to get a bunch of bunny gifts ♥ hehee

Thanksgiving is already around the corner. Sometimes I am sad that the days go by so fast. But then I get over it when the holidays come again. :>
No talk of Christmas until Dec 1st. It’s bad enough the stores already had Christmas carols on before Halloween was even here.
Ha ha! My local target was the same!
Target has had stuff up since before Halloween.
I like wrapping. Yessum, fanatic, and I am a perfectionist at wrapping lol. I look forward to shopping for it :3
When I wnet to get a costume for Halloween with a friend there was Christmas stff up… I cried alittle.. Lol.
I have absalutly no money this year (unemplyed) so idk what I’m doing for Christmas…

Me too! Haha, I love making all the corners fold up perfectly and everything. These days I actually save the comics pages (especially the colorful Sunday ones) from the newspaper and wrap presents in those…it seems like such a waste to me to buy perfectly good pretty wrapping paper for the sole purpose of having it ripped up and thrown away later
. Plus, every present is unique with comics, not to mention free, hehe.
I like the pretty wrapping paper.

Ditto that. I love Christmas as much as the next person but I don’t think it should last 3 months. Every year the stores start earlier and earlier. There are always a few stores with decs already up before Halloween. That’s a bit much. It’s always a big deal here, with November 11 being Remembrance Day, a lot of people, especially the veterans, find it offensive that all the Christmas stuff is up before Remembrance Day.
Christmas has gotten WAY out of hand. Way too commercial. The stores just shove it down our throats and a lot of people are getting tired of it. I find it upsetting and annoying. I don’t put anything Christmasy up, watch or listen to anything Christmasy until Dec 1. I try to stay away from the commercialism as much as possible. I make a lot of my gifts and rarely buy new stuff for the house. I have the basics, that’s all I need.
November is going by already to fast!!! ![]()
Hobby Lobby is always the first to put up Christmas stuff, its right there next to the Halloween stuff. Then comes WalMart (there aren’t a lot of stores here). I always start decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving but that is mostly because I just LOVE the way the decorations look. Everything is so green, the lights are all twinkling, the decorations are shiny. The house is warm and it smells like cinnamon. It is so cozy. It kills me to bring them down every year but I know I have to. I make an event out of decorating haha.
I cant really afford anything this year either. I have two jobs but one will be stopping when the semester runs out. I can probably pick up more hours at my other job, but I will only have enough time to work more for one extra pay period, which will be the day before Christmas eve. So Ill either have to make a lot of paintings for gifts this year, learn to knit, or do a mad dash shopping spree.
I am really really looking forward to Thanksgiving tho. I cant wait to make all that food! I have to make some “series” paintings for my watercolor class and the more I think about it, I think I will do two series, one of bunnies (those of you on facebook/twitter have already seen that.) and some of thanksgiving food
