We have been out of electricity now for 4 days .  It is 50 degrees in our house and I put a blanket over the bunnies cage but it is still pretty cold.  How cold can it get before I should worry about her?  Thanks Mindy

BRRR! That’s cold! The bun should be okay as long as there are no drafts. You might want to put some extra hay in the cage or in a cardboard box that she can burrow into. Or if there’s a room that’s warmer than the one she’s in, maybe relocate her temporarily.

we dont have any rooms that are warmer than that. She has a basket she hides in but she pushes all the hay out when I try to stuff hay in there!!

I try to put a blanket in there and she pulls it out and drags it across the room!! Hopefull she will be ok

We just got our power back after being out for 3 days It got to about 35-40 in the house, seriously freezing. I added lots of cardboard boxes and blankets to the pens, made blanket tents and added lots of hay in the regular spots. They did fine, they have a ton of fur and can really deal with cold temps better than we can.
