I haven’t been here in a while, heh.
Anyway. I have a few questions…. I figured I’d stack them all up in one thread instead of doing several, if that’s okay…?
My mom has been saying that Alex Bunny is too thin. I haven’t had bunnies before him so I don’t know what’s normal, but my grandmother has bred bunnies, so I guess my mom should know a bit about them (she doesn’t know much about diet, though. >.>). When I hold him I can feel his ilium and sort of feel his vertebrae. I haven’t weighed him because we don’t have a scale. Well, we do have a kitchen one, but it must be about 20 years old and is not too good…. But what do you think? And if he is too thin, what should I do to fatten him up? I’ve been giving him half a case of pellets (I think that’s how they’re called? Those cupcake-baking cases… Erm, this.) at lunchtime and another at night, unlimited hay, and veggies. I give him fruit too, sometimes.
Also, he seems to be a bit calmer lately. Sometimes he doesn’t want to leave his cage, and just stays in his bed all day. But then when he comes to the living room he binkies all over the place. I’m confused! Other than that, he is completely fine. XD Do you think the weather might have something to do with it? Sounds unlikely, but it changed drastically over night, literally. One day I’m in short sleeved shirts and the next day I’m taking a jacket and umbrella to school. If it phisically affects us, (I’ve been terribly sleepy, too. XD) I see no reason for it not to affect rabbits as well.
Oh and he sneezes sometimes when he’s eating. But that is probably because he’s a pig and eats too fast.
Today I’ve been preparing Alex’s “winter house” (in other words, making his cage nice and cozy.) If you could take a look and tell me what you think, and what I need to add/take off, it would be greatly appreciated.
