Okay, San Francisco Bay Area members, you probably know what I am talking about. What is with the two earthquakes today?!! They were a bit scary…and I’m used to earthquakes.  It’s freakin me out.  Especially the one that just happened a bit ago. 4.2 at 8:20 was a long one, and the earlier one (4.0) a few hours ago wasn’t making me happy either!.   Epicenter underneath Cal Berkeley.

It’s givin’ me the jitters now.

I know what you mean, BB – even Dustor jumped like, “What the heck was that?!!!” That must have been a pretty scary one, even my building here off the Wharf in San Francisco, which is on landrock, twisted and the walls creaked! Let’s hope they’re over…

I remember living in San Francisco and being in an old victorian apartment and that thing swayed.  Now we live in an old 1920’s California Bungalow, low to the ground and sturdy, but I definitely am more aware now of the deep rumble and the house still sways (and all the things in it)!  What is with that..not making me happy!

We got one here in Ohio around 6:30pm EST today. We live outside that area but still I don’t think Ohio has ever had that many earthquakes before! I think we’ve had like 3 or 4 around Northeast Ohio if I’m correct.

Ones that we can feel—scary ones, maybe a couple of times a year, (at least that stick out for me).  We are on right near a fault line so there are many I don’t feel.

But lately, these last couple of months, there have been four now that  I have felt— two of which happened today. I hope things are just shifting and releasing pressure and settling into place.

It must be the week for them as we had a 3.3 in my little city very early Wednesday morning. I’m happy with ones of that scale thank you very much!

I don’t know anything about earthquakes. Is there times of the year when they are more likely to happen?

I live in an area that seldom experiences earthquake but we had one couple months ago and it was something, I had never felt one. The house shook, deep loud rumbling. I thought a plan had crashed. Lasted about 13 seconds. The center was 30 miles from me. It was a 5.8. It is really scary.
