I know Nibblette look at me like I am his human, but I have never had him start acting like he was jelous of my wife tina. it started about two weeks ago whe she was kissing me goodbye and nibblette ran up and bit her ankle. We didnt think nothing of this and we were laying on the floor together cuddling in front of the tv and she was hugging me and nibblette came up three times and bit her butt. Tina then sat on the couch and nibblett sat between us starring at her. has anyone else had any issues like this?? and what do I do?

Aw…. that is kinda cute. Permission to laugh?

What does your wife do when he nips? Do be very careful about the reaction you/she or anyone gives, even if it’s not the reaction he was looking for (i.e moving away). He’ll learn very fast otherwise that biting results in some reaction and might use it more. It might be best to give no reaction what so ever so he learns it gets him zero results. She could give a short high pitch squeak as it happen but stay put and not move away immediately. I know, it’s hard not to react when bunny teeth are involved. Ow!

Actually, I should take my own advice as I have one that sits in my lap and will nip my belly if I stop petting him. So what do I do? Start petting him.    It’s definitely a communication tool for them.

Its not really the nipping cause we r used to that as the fact he trys to physicaly get between us all the time and grunts at her. So shes tried to start giving him his favorite treats to make friends, but he wont take him from her. He just grunts at her and sometimes lunges. He doesnt do this with the kids its weird.

Bunnies recognise us a lot using their sense of smell. Has your wife started using any new scented products recently?
Her feeding him treats is a good idea. If the buns get pellets, she could even try hand feed them to him if he’ll allow it.

It’s hard to say rabbits are even capable of feeling an emotion like jealousy but sometimes it sure feels like it! I know others have reported similar things to what you’re seeing with Nibblette. Rabbit v’s Partner scenario.
I’m experiencing it between rabbits with my 2 unbonded boys. One growls and tries nip other if I’m giving the other any attention. I had this happen when bonding my pair a couple years ago also.
